i bought a 08 supercharged z06 i was working on, it still needed a couple thousand put in it but it did run and drive. then this car came along. i had offers on the roller for enough to buy a nice pontiac. for some reason this one kept on eating at me. surprisling ive not missed that z06 a minute and come home and open the shop up to check this thing out daily. the green interior is a bit much but oh well

I like it!
Funny how the colors I used to dread as a teen seem nostalgic to me now, like green and even burnt orange metallic.

Isn't that actually a dark turquoise or teal?
I recall a couple LeMans and Tempest cars around the neighborhood of my youth being this color combo. While I generally despise most automotive greens, these turquoise/teal colors always appealed to me. Car looks good. Enjoy! |

Talk about color, not Pontiac related, way back I bought a daily driver for my long commute. It was an original '67 Dodge Dart from an elderly couple, for $200, in 1991. It had 65K original miles.
It was olive green, with olive green interior, and an olive green vinyl top. Hideous. I couldn't pass up the price. Drove it to 100K miles. sold it to a dad and youngster for 1K. Had several buyers competing. George

Current GTO was originally gulf turquoise, matching interior. Previous owner had the exterior painted a '67 blue. pulled the interior and replaced it with my old Lemans parchment, and sold off the buckets, still have the rear seats and door panels if anyone wants them. I haven't decided on the final exterior color, but interior will be parchment.

Congrats! That's a beautiful car and I bet you are glad you listened to it whispering.
We need pics of the green interior. Somebody wearing my clothes likes green interiors. And the engine you listed is a gift. Like a good campground, those never show up within a 4-hr drive from me... is tempting. |

Cool car.
What color was the Z? I don't think I could ever give up a C6Z in a trade

the z was velocity yellow, it was a beast, cam, t trim sc, arh headers n x pipe, borla atak. even with the charge tube disconnected it did 50mph burnouts with ease. alot of stuff is discontinued on those cars. electrical parts etc. melling quit making the ls7 dry sump oil pumps so used ones average 3 to 500 bucks, the aftermarket is 1500-2k . this car had none of those issues and i wanted rid of it while it didnt. my c5 has some tough to find parts as well but atleast the ls6 can be fixed or rebuilt pretty easy. the la7 though tough to beat, it aint cheap to repair. |
