I overdid it yesterday! It was relatively cool and misting rain so I decided I would finish the 20 foot trench I started a while back. Taking frequent breaks to sit in front of my fan I finally got it dug, 16 inches deep by 12 inches wide. It was fairly easy digging and I only hit one root. Another break and I filled in the bottom with drain rock about 3 inches deep, Another break and I laid the 2 ten foot sections of 4 inch pvc drain pipe and hooked it up to the 3 inch line from my shop.. Still another break then I covered the pipe with more rock. Another break and I covered the gravel with plastic and started putting the dirt back in. It was wet and heavy so I used the smallest shovel I had. It took me about 6 hours and then the pain hit!
I made it around to the front of my shop, sat down in front of a cooling fan and popped a nitroglycerine pill under my tongue.I was hurting worse than I ever had, but 5 minutes after popping the pill I felt good enough to get up to the house. I rested for about 30 minutes , then showered and laid down, at least I got the worst part done. Today, I just piddled around in the shop. Did some light cleaning and a lot of sitting in my comfortable old chair, I have not had any issues today. But, I learned my lesson and will take it easier until I hear from the Dr. maybe sooner than later. I feel like I have at least one blockage After I take the nitro I feel like my younger self for a little while, but I get over it in a few hours. Then it's back to being tired. I appreciate y'all putting up with me.

I called my cardiologist's office Monday and told them what had been happening since my CT scan last Wednesday. The nurse said they would call me back but I haven't heard from them so I am going to the office tomorrow! I had to take 2 nitro pills Monday evening about 3 hours apart! I didn't hit a lick at a snake today and, so far I have had no problems.

My CT scan came back abnormal. The doctor has ordered another catheterization for next Wednesday. Hopefully the insurance company will approve it this time. If they don't, the doctor said I should get a lawyer and sue them. Add the abnormal CT to my chest pains and use of nitroglycerine tablets to alleviate them, plus a family history of heart problems. My father died of one in 1982 at the age of 56. My oldest brother had one 1989 on his 43rd birthday, And my second youngest brother passed from one in 2019 at the age of 62. I guess I should be thankful that I have made it to 75, but I sure would like to stay around a little while longer.

I sure hope you’re going to be ok. After hearing stories like yours, it makes me wonder about the Mangioni guy that took out the UHC executive. I truly believe that health care companies operate on pure greed. Not health and not care.

The reality is Doctors and hospitals are a for profit business. Responsible citizens do not take the law into their own hands. Most if not all hospitals have a financial aid program to help those that don't have the funds to pay. Good luck fyrfftr1.

Glad they are wanting to do the catherization!
My doctor always says if it gets bad, go to ER. Don't wait to see if it goes away. If insurance denies, go to ER and have your Dr meet you there.

Believe me, I wish I did not have to go through this. I am more concerned about being put to sleep. The last two times my bladder did not wake up and I ended up getting a catheter put in. I am allergic to lidocaine so they inserted the last one without any numbing. IT was about 6 feet long and made of barbed wire! The pain going in was as good as the relief it gave me though.

Now if that doesn’t sound like pain, I don’t know what does. Listen friend, I don’t know what’s going on but this is the second very sharp response you’ve thrown at me. I’m trying to empathize with fyrffytr and express my concern and you seem to want to attack me. Maybe lighten up a bit, eh bud?

They didn't give me anything at the ER. For some reason I am allergic to most anesthetic drugs. That is why I was there that night, because I had a colonoscopy that morning and my prostate or bladder didn't wake up.
I had over 2000ccs drained. Dr said I was about 200ccs from a burst bladder.

My cardiologist said he will use a different drug to put me to sleep when I have the procedure done. I am more concerned about being put under than I am about the catheterization!

OK, the insurance agent at my doctors office did not file the claim last Thursday, the office was closed Friday for the 4th and she did not work Monday. So, the appeal based on the abnormal CT scan didn't get filed in time for the Wednesday procedure! But, Aetna called me this afternoon to say it had been approved. Hopefully early next week! I am not sure if I will be fully sedated or not.
Thanks for all the replies, thoughts and prayers. I will let you know what I know when I know it!
