Default 70 Power Steering struggles

As some of you might have seen, I recently got my Formula back up & running. One of the things that got rebuilt this winter was the power steering pump. It wasnt having any issues, other than it leaked. Everything looked fine inside, & from what I recall, the youtube video of the rebuild was pretty straight forward. Took it apart & replaced all the seals & o rings & re assembled.

It has correct amount of fluid, belt seems to be spinning fine. No weird noises or whining, but I got no power steering. From what I researched online, maybe its air locked? I jacked the car up, turned the wheel from lock to lock 20 times. Checked fluid. Added a little, fired the car up & did it 20 more times. Didnt see any foaming or bubbles in the fluid. It did puke some fluid out tho. I think this was from having to much fluid? Not sure tho. Checked fluid again, after some came out & it was still at the correct level. Did the 20 turn thing again. This time I watched as momma turned the wheel. No leaks, no weird noises, no loss in fluid level. Was hopeful it fixed itself. It sure turned easy while on jack stands. 🤓
But when I pulled it back in the pole barn, still no power steering.

Just wondering if theres anything else I can try before I pull the pump off?

Is it possible that you have this part, (red arrow ), upside down? Or possibly have the small vanes in backward. One side of vanes are more rounded than the other.

Anything is possible, unfortunately 🫤

Probably try the lock to lock turn thing again, & another short drive. 🤷 Then it's gonna have to come apart & see if we can figure out what's the matter.
