Car looks great. Sounds like it'll be fun too after the motor /trans swap. Kudos to keeping the sleeper nature & also keeping it a LeMans & not cloning a GTO.

Is the colour combo blue/blue, or blue/black?
Redlines look sharp!

Here's my '66 Tempest convertible. I have a YH 360hp 428 for it. The other is my '71 Lemans Sport 455 4 speed.

In this pic you will see there is a rip in the driver's seat. When I bought the car, the guy gave me an NOS set of covers, they have already been installed. So no more rip and the rest of the interior is basically perfect and all original....

DAMN! That is sharp!!!
I thought I had the best interior...mine's all original, too! I'll have to post a picture of the interior, but you've got me beat with that nifty console! Mine's white/red; when the owner pulled her out of the driveway and I got a look at the interior I had to have it.

I love blue/blue - red/red - gold/gold - green/green...any matching interior is spot on in my book! When I get around to painting mine, I'm half debating painting her red...but then again the white is such a sleeper look...

That is one fine automobile you own! Congrats!!!

Question - you really want to put a hood tach on? Why not just a small tach on the column?

Thank you, the interior actually looks even nice in person. I definately want a hood tach, the one thing with me is, I am all about a stock, clean look. I could never handle having a big ole tach mounted to the steering column with a hose clamp. Just couldn't do it. Once I verified that the hood tach was an available option on the 67 LeMans, that was it, had to have it. LOL

Yeah, that's such a goofy look IMO. I put a nice small (2.25") tach on my Firebird on the column and it's great; low profile, not obtrusive and kinda looks old school to me which is why I'm going that route with the LeMans.

The piping is exposed on the driver's seat but other than that she's all there. It took a boat-load of elbow grease to get rid of 40 years of grime but once I did she looked practically brand new. Her name is Deb, she'll always be a LeMans albeit with a GTO hood!

Just caught this post, don"t have many good pics............i bought this 11 yrs ago, had a 400 in it ...........have since went to a 455 about 5 yrs ago.

Motor being redone now, with aluminum KRE 290 heads from SD along with their "Old Faithful" cam..........4 speed, 3.42 rear, should be fun........i hope.

What I have found to be true in most cases on a '67 Lemans, is if it has a floor shift auto with console option, then it gets a wood grain console.....and a matching woodgrain dash.

If it is a column shift automatic or three-on-the-tree (like mine came) and no console, then there is no woodgrain dash.....

Definately good info! Thank you! I may make my auto console (top pieces) and shifter and dash insert available if anyone is interested. Once I get everything installed for the 4-speed conv. I beleive this all to be original parts in excellent cond. I will keep the numbers matching 326 and two speed trans. but I figure the auto console stuff I could part with as I am sure someone could use it...

LOL The calendar is from Frank's Pontiac parts. I had to get the pedals from him as I was informed by another supplier that the repops are complete junk. This other supplier sells the repops and had them in stock and was nice enough to inform me of this when ordering. The vast majority of those parts did not come from PY (very long story there) and I realize I must walk a fine line on this site so that's all I will say.

The 4-wheel power brake disc conv. kit will be here tomorrow. The HO manifolds and the 2.5" mandrell bent exhaust system from RARE will be here later this week as will the 8.2 Eaton posi carrier, 3.55 gears, install kit and new axles. Installation of all this stuff will begin next week!
