Mike,
Yes, there a lot of very smart people posting on this site.

I am not sure what you problem is with me, but the way I see it, most of it is from you reading things into what I post that are not there.

This question is most assuredly antagonistic in nature Stan...Really, take a serious look at it. I'm smart enough to know what you are insinuating,AND smart enough to know the differences in basic vehicles. Not dumb enough to guess at all the variables possible in two cars. I'm not reading into it, Im reading the question asked. So if the corvette has the wrong gear and converter, yet dead hooks. And the van is being campaigned by Billy Glidden with a small block with a clutchless 5speed....but the vette is driven poorly....maybe the van has less? what year vette? is the van chopped and lowered? For crying out loud what are we doing here? Whats the difference between a boot?

You got called on your bs. So if you want to try and make yourself look smart, try screwing with someone else....or better yet just stop the OCD crap.

I honestly feel a little bad flaming you when I do. Mostly because you can't seem to help yourself. Your site is the perfect place for hypothetical mini vans to race hypothetical corvettes.

Just because some of us don't build calculator web simulators does not mean we are stupid and don't understand math and physics Stan.

The truth is you have a NEED to feel smart. Trying to elevate your intellectual appearance in the manner you do is not productive. I'm sure you're a sharp guy, but in all sincerity you don't have to keep trying to WIN at thinking. JMO

I'll concentrate on making the real car go fast.....you let us all know how much HP billy gliddens hypothetical mini van has compared to the However it was constructed undisclosed year corvette.

I've seen some nice cars over the years, but this car, in this picture, this picture especially, leaves me speechless. Thanks for posting the pictures Dick, thanks to you, I now have another reason to loose sleep...this car is fast sitting still, is it on steroids? Of course I'm biased, after all it is a 1969 Firebird, that is all, now back to the scheduled head thread.

I am sure that you are a smart person.

But you do not feel bad about flaming me or anybody else, because that is what you do.

Calvin, I believe that set of numbers posted on Mr. Dixons motor were with break in oil. Probably a early pull.

Just go with Tiger heads or HP heads, there are stacks of 1000hp dyno sheets for those heads.

Ok I have a silly question......who was the 1st to hit 1000hp NA with a single 4 using EHeads? And what year did they do it?

must have been within 6 years of their introduction... why else would they have expected it from cv's by now???

Before jumpin on me... I'll acknowledge a few claimed they would, but Jim and most others in the cv "camp"(myself included) made no such promise... just pointed to potential...

I cant think of one cv build thats been run, where the owners stated goal was 1000+ hp NA.

If so, then who?

Bruce,The CV-1 thing has been beatin over and over and over again.I know the ehead is a very nice product. Has proven the power. I was just kinda of curious who was the 1st. I bet every other choice of head out there (except CV-1's) could tell us who was the first to hit 1000 and when it was.

It's called technology Bruce it moves forward every day, we learn from the past to make things better. Back in the early 2000 a 850-900 HP was pretty much make effort for a Pontiac with inline head design.
