Greg,
Car looks great! Looks like one of the cleanest Lemans' I have ever seen!!
I like the trunk too. I plan on doing the same to my Lemans! Would be cool to get our cars together!!

Greg is the one that made up my mine on the original color for mine.
After seeing his and how good it looks in the original color I
decidide to go with it on mine.
The attention to detail is awsome. Great job Greg.
Mine is the same color and interior too.

GT.

Ahnuld, Thanks! I've always liked the look of the wide white walls on these cars and have run white walls for the 22 years that I have owned car. First bias ply and now radials. The NOS wheel covers and wide white walls really make car stand out.

Thanks Gary! I collected NOS parts for my car for years. Three years ago I sent the front grill out to have it stripped, straightened, repaired, buffed and clear anodized. At the same time I had the front and rear bumpers and the drivers outside door handle rechromed. Everything else is NOS. I have spent the last couple years detailing engine compartment and undercarriage of car finally putting my hoard of parts to use. Did you get your car from Wakefield, Ma.? I think I remember seeing it when it was for sale.

blueghost Thanks! I knew you'd like pictures because your car is same color combo. I'm a bit of a purist so there wasn't any deciding on what color other than the original Caravan Gold. I guess I've been trying to build a points car during the last few years. My little Tempest beats out Corvettes, Camaros, Mustangs, etc. at shows because it's unusual and clean. I have only shown my car 11 times in the last 2 years but she has taken home a trophy/award every time!!

Well all the hard work shows really well, Greg. Yes I did buy the Wakefield car that was on eBay. No one wanted it because it didn't come with a title. The guy selling it wanted to see the car go to someone who would restore it and not part it out. Thanks to a fellow Pontiac-er who advertises in Smoke Signals, I got the paperwork to get a title for $150. I restored the car to use as a daily driver. After the Pontiac show in Rhode Island this September, it will be used all the time. Once I can afford it, I will have to get me some wide white's for it, it makes a world of difference.

Cars were not required to have titles in Massachusetts back in the 1960's. So it's not uncommon to find older cars here in Mass. without. My car did not come with a title either but I was able to apply and obtain one back in 1990 from Registry of Motor Vehicles.
Is the show you're referring to in RI in September the 2 day event in Warwick? I live less than an hour away. Perhaps this is when we will be able to get our matching Coupes together! Picture is from that show in Sept. 2010. You can see MLunds awesome 63 in the next row. Greg

Thanks!! My Tempest started life as a fairly plain model with only a push button radio and seat belts. I have added the other options over the years. Other options that you can't see in pics are glove box and ashtray lights, trunk light, dual horns and locking gas cap.
The pics below are the car right after I bought it in March 1990. I paid $100 for car and trailered it home. It had nice original interior. Soon after getting car home, I folded the original hood over at hood hinge. I used the hood off of a red convertible parts car I bought around same time.
I'm glad people enjoy seeing my pics here! I hope they can inspire! I'm happy that I'm able to share!!

In NJ I needed the notarized bill of sale, which he gave me and expired registration which he didn't have. The guy contacted MA MV and they were no help. It worked out though.
Yes that is the show, plan on making my reservations this week. Look forward to meeting you there. If you want a copy of the show flyer PM me your email.

Looks like the business coupe we had. When Dad passed away he had made arrangements to give it to a family friend. Ed is making slow and steady progress on it.

What is the official name of that color, btw?

Your right Jim, you shouldn't have sold it. But I'm glad you did, at least you know it's in good hands. LOL

I like the interior a lot. You do not see any that color too often. You are doing a great job Jeff.
