63 Lemans convt currently as it was when I bought it she has a 350/350 in it atm. Converted over to early S10 small pad fdb, 10 bolt Olds 3.42 rear end w/ leaf springs.
Done interior work this spring w 68 GTO seats & 67 his/ hers shifter w console. Installed 6x9 in kick panels, new carpet, & adied a cut down rear seat from a 62 GP that has the rear speaker grill and arm rest. Added Fatmat under carpet. Still have new wood steering wheel to install and wood grain to console. I had a spare dash painted satin black with thoughts of adding 65 GTO rallye guages w/ white faces. (So racist). Had the rear arm rests recovered. Still needs stereo. Need some odds ends electrical work done (Rev lights, interior courtesy lights, horn, etc). Installed new H4 hi beams and new LED low beams. So bright. Had the header panel btwn radiator support & nose cone powder coated. Mine was torn where the hood latch goes thru & hood would work it's way up while driving. Ordered new black vinyl top but w/ a glass rear window. Future...... power windows (factory correct from 63 Buick special, power antenna from 64 Olds F85, true poncho motor & A/C (I have 63 under dash controls, duct work).

New guy here. My name is Mike and I am from Goodyear, Az. I bought myself my mid-life crisis a few months ago and am having fun tearing it apart and getting it back together.
So far I have got the engine running, fixed the brakes (powder coated the wheels for fun), and found out that my gas tank has about 8 extra holes. I have a 63 Lemans vert w/ a 326. It has factory power steering and the dash mounted shifter. It looks like it was repainted at one point in it's life but the last time it was registered was in 1991. I am fighting years of neglect and rust. [/IMG]![]()

Hello, My name Is Mike. A few months ago I picked up my first classic car. I am told that this is my mid-life crisis, but who knows.
I have a 63 lemans w/ the 326, power steering, dash mounted shifter for the 2 speed auto transmission. I think the car was repainted but it has not been registered since 1991, so I am fighting years of neglect and some rust. So far I have got the engine to start, fixed the brakes(powder coated the wheels), and found about 8 extra holes in the gas tank. [/IMG]![]()

Hello, I just bought my first classic car and am knee deep trying to get it back on the road and then hopefully looking pretty again. I have a 63 convertible lemans w/ the 326 and power steering.
It appears the car was resprayed before in it's life but it was last registered in 1991. ![]() ![]()

Solid Louisiana car, there was no rot any where. Disassembly was done without a breaker bar, torch or break free a big change from cars up here in the Northeast.
Sold the drive train, stroked 400 with roller set up, dual quads and 200-4R Sandblasted underside and painted Cameo white Getting there...... |

I feel bad for neglecting my 62 for so long, has a bad LR wheel bearing.

Turns out it wasn't a bad wheel bearing after all. The left rear tire separated, steel belt was exposed. Very random how I spotted it. I was tying my shoe and noticed the hugh bulge. Bought a tire and it was fine. I have since sold it to buy back a 73 Formula that I owned previously. I sold that to my brother inlaw to buy a 63 LeMans, picking it up this Saturday. Here is a tease...
