What no StagsTTF?
Surprised its not Milwaukee's Best or "Old Mil" I prefer Miller draft from a keg myself, though a cold 7oz "Coronita" can really be just right size for taking a break from mowing the lawn on a hot day! |

The new motor has been great this year. Taking baby steps with the tune up then adding more power figuring out the chassis, transmission and rear gear ratio that has been the hard work.

Yep, like George said, them racing na is pointless. Running a nitrous car na with any converter specd for a heavy hit will only bring naysayers rushing to Wallace calculator and calling bs. Best to line em up spray to spray and runwhatya brung.

I know the ET would be down because of convertor etc.. MPH down some maybe but possibly closer to gauging NA power than ET would be. In a MUCH slower car my mph stayed pretty close to best as I dialed convertor, gears, chassis, and launch and eventually ET'd what my mph indicated it should. Without touching engine or its tune ET dropped nearly .3 while mph barely gained. I hear you on the rush to Wallaces calculator. Some will be going there regardless of N2O pass or not lol . |

Good luck to both...but I'm surprised that noone on this board has been to the track and seen either of these 2 cars run with their new combos. Someone needs to spill the beans. I'm not going to make it up this year but if someone wants to put some laps on my car...it's sitting in Cleveland. Of course you would have to split any winnings $$$.

Jack really has little to prove with his deal. Sounds like he is solidly in the 7s and the engine is back running properly.
Questions are: Will Dick show? How fast can he really go round after round? Will he run faster than a SB Ford on NOS ran in 1998 at the same weight? Looking forward to hearing the after race results. Tom V.

With great regret, I have to announce that we will not make Norwalk this year. I know this “showdown”between Jack and myself has generated a lot of pre-race hype, anticipation, trash talking and wagering, and no one is more disappointed at this point than I am. But there have been a number of unscheduled gremlins, flat out failures, and uncooperative weather that have pushed our target dates back. Granted, we got a late start, but some of that couldn't be helped. I feel especially bad for Jim and Bill as they both had a lot riding on this project. Their help has been immeasurable though out.
Four hours of sleep per night has become the norm around here, so we are understandably burned out. Just this past week during a converter and ring & pinion swap, we found a cracked diff case. Thanks to Bill Krech for coming through with a spare, and Rob Senkyr for pitching in Thursday and Friday nights. Saturday our high zoot 16V lithium batteries took a dump at the track so we lost our test and tune window. It's been stupid stuff like this popping up at the most inopportune times. That left Sunday (today) to tow 4 hours to the only open Ľ mile track for a couple of time trials. Considering our mental and physical state, we decided to pull the plug. There is simply no reason to tow 14 hours to Norwalk with a car that is not ready. We will get this sorted out – just not this week. Yes, we are frustrated and really bummed, but we realize that Norwalk will go on with or without us – we're really not a big deal. Good luck to all going and stay safe. Dick Fulton |
