Factory 455 GTO hardtop will have its own specific frame code. Original engines & frame brackets have often been picked but unless really rusty & having been replaced original frame will often still be there.

Are you saying on the drivers side frame rail rear of rear tire where mfg and part numner is normally found?

Or just that it has its own frame made for the 455 GTO model?

Yes, HF was the two letter frame ID code for the '70 455 hardtop frame.
'71 Pontiac 455 A-bodys (non converts) used one of two different 455 frame codes. '72's with factory 455 reverted back to one 455 specific code. Over in the Buick camp, '70-72 GS 455's also received their own specfic code frames.

Don't know what is different about the 455 frame, but the GTO restoration guide lists 3 different frames in 1970 - standard, convertible, and 455 only.

My car is a 455 car with the 9799986 HF frame.
