My father owned this car 74-76 and he was the third owner at the time, since then there have been ten more.
I bought the car for two years ago, did not now that it was a RA IV until I had payed for it and got the papers from PHS. I had some suspicions though, I have some pic´s from a vacation in -75 where you can see that there is something on the hood.. The guy I bought it from did not now what he was selling.. I have spoken to allmost everyone of the previus owners and they really enjoyed the car when they had it! BTW, What are the prices on a -69 conv. in good condition in the U.S, I just love that car!! Wow. That car travelled alot between families! Nice to know it came back to you. It still has the RA IV?
Prices on Conv's vary on condition of course but can range anywhere from $10k (nice driver) to $50k for show car, not a Judge or RA IV. Mine has a non-original RAIII. It came with the std 350 HP and an M20. I'm in Canada, and this acr lived its whole life here, but has had a Frame-off in 94 by previous owner.

Yes the car is allmost complete, the only thing I need is the heads.(#722) I´m looking for them but there´s a lot of crap out there... Except for that, I´ve got it all, even the interior is very nice! Have just beginning to put it together again, bought it in pieces and the guy who stripped it down was a perfektionist so I have every bolt and nut from the car!
He allso stated that every option, PW, PS, P-seat, hideaways, tacho etc. worked when he started too tear it down. It will be a true pleasure too work with this!! Robert. |

Robert, I have a '69 ragtop I'd take $20k for. Numbers matching, former show car, now driver. Original 2bbl, air car, one of 216 made. Now has many performance upgrades with stock parts safely tucked away. Figured out how to get pix to me yet? I'll send you some when we start on our RAIV. Really enjoy your correspondence .Keep in touch and have a drink on me! Ron P.S., I'd trade the ragtop for your car, you pay shipping![lol]

You can see the call outs on the hood when he rolls by.

Some of the options I have on the car are not in the optionlist from PHS, where can I get a complete list? BTW, did all GTO 69 came with redline tires or was it a chose by the byer? Robert. </div></BLOCKQUOTE> Which options were not on the PHS options list? The book that I have lists all of your options except the export-specific items. Red Line tires were standard on all GTOs in '69 except for "The Judge" which received black wall tires as standard equipment. Red or white line tires could have been ordered as a no-cost option on "The Judge". White line tires were a no-cost option for any GTO. The Ram Air IV engine option required the Heavy Duty rear differential with a ratio of 3.90 or 4.33:1, the M40 3-speed automatic transmission or the M21 4-speed close ratio manual transmission. Air conditioning (582 C60) and the Instant-Aire Pump (694 V64) were not available options in conjunction with the RAIV engine. Outside of those two exceptions, any option was available with the RAIV. Power brakes were available, but were not generally recommended with the RAIV. |

The options that I can´t find is # 591 and # 804.
What book do you have? I have tried too search for a complete optionlist for -69 but not been able too find it. The qestion about the tires was because tha car did not have redline tires when it came too Sweden. |

Option 591 is a speedometer gear adapter. It is required whenever a 3.90 or 4.33:1 rear differential ratio is ordered. For your RAIV that would make it a manditory option. Option 804 is the export-only speedometer that reads out in Kilometers/hr instead of the US-version that reads in miles/hr.
The book that I have is "The GTO Association of America's Pontiac GTO/GT-37 Illustrated Identification Guide." This is the source that is used by the GTOAA for their concours judging program. If our host, Performance Years, doesn't have it in stock, you can go to http://www.whitehouse-graphics.com/i...de%20book.html to order it directly from the publisher. As a car built for export, it is possible that specific tires were installed at the Baltimore plant to meet regulations for sale in Sweden. What those original tires were is a question that may best be answered by the original owner. In your car's case the original tires may have been plain black walls, but I do not have any experience with the configuration of export cars, so I can't say for sure. |

As you can see (squinting hard to read this scan), the W73 611 vacuum operated exhaust option was NOT available on the RA III or RA IV cars. I have a hunch that it MAY not have been available on the 455 Ram Air cars either, but no proof to that effect.
