Very sad to learn this. I knew he was undergoing daily treatment and thought he was making good progress when I spoke to him just a couple of months ago.
Over the past 10 years, he and his projects have always been an incredible inspiration for me and many others in the Pontiac world, I'm sure. I often took articles on his cars and projects with me for inspiration when I was working overseas. We lost one of the all time greats in the Pontiac community and a true gentleman to boot. |

I talked to him earlier this week. He said he was doing fine. He was in the process of putting his v8 back together to run in pro nostalgia in the nsca with an aluminum 440 cid motor. He was only around 3 weeks away from having all of the parts for final assembly. He will truely be missed.

Dave lived about 4 blocks from my house , met him at our local cruise nite(after seeing his car at a BOP meet). I hung around at his house a few times , great person. Just a shame , I always felt he would be OK , just terrible. Thanks Milan

Dave was a true drag racer. No fancy paint on his car, in these days of enclosed car haulers and big rigs, Dave was simple. He put his money in the guts of performance. Towed the White Warrior all over the country on an open trailer. Dave was always willing to provide help with the knowledge he gained over the past 40 years. We matched race in 2005 at Cordova, his screaming little 4 banger cranking 11 second time slips was truely amazing. The power levels he achieved is a true credit to his love for racing and his dedication. Thanks Dave for the help, the laughs and the satisfaction of your accomplishments with that little Pontiac.

He spent time speaking with me at Rt.66 a number of years ago. He also gave me lot's of AFB tuning tips for running a Wenzler T-ram. God bless him.

Hope his family is able to see the two tribute threads about Dave on this board. Maybe some of it was read aloud at the funeral. That would have been cool. I know the nostalgia pontiac community and especially this board will not be the same without him. Chris
