You have to cut the hoop and all bars to fit. You also have to form the 6" x 6" plates to the areas were they are being placed. You can't cut them smaller to fit.
Another thing about the pro-touring bars. It says custom DOM. NHRA rule book states it must be DOM material.

I was looking at this. Since it's not that expensive and I could have someone install it.

Any ideas?

That is the one.
I bought the 67-69 kit. It went in well.
Some guys posted they paid around 300 for welding or so.
Search roll bars. There is a couple other companies who sell DOM 6 point roll bar kits. S&W, A.R.T. etc.

I belive the cage in my car is a S&W kit if I remember. (Bakers old car)

If I was going to do it over, I would have someone custom bend one, and weld it in.

Dont get me wrong, the kits are great for the do-it-yourself type people, but if your not good at welding, why not have a pro weld it in. so get a custom one done. Much better fit IMO.

And why take your chances if your not a pro welder, safety first.

Some things are better left to the pros. (welding)

JMO. Rock on...

Chris, you're correct. It's a S&W 10-pt kit. I ordered it with the rear support bars bent so they could pass through the speaker holes in the package tray. Jack Gaydosh installed it. After installing it, I had him add the X-brace in later that ties into the floorpan above the shock mounts. It fit ok, but to make it fit right for my height and still be legal, the halo had to be kicked up a bit in the rear, and lowered a bit in the front. If I had to do it all over again, I would have just had Jack bend the pipes to fit...I found out after ordering the kit that having one custom bent ends up costing pretty close to the same as having someone install a pre-made kit.
