Lord knows I've "eaten" more than my fair share of dust from odd angle stones over the years.

Oldsmobile used 37.5° on some of their exhaust seats in some V-8's. Some industrial engine I did years ago, I believe it was International, had 15° intake seats. Talk about a flat valve!

Here is what it did after I Re-ported it. Gasket matched to a Fel-Pro #1233 intake gasket.
I don't think I mentioned earlier, but I flowed these at 28" of water, on a Superflow 600. _Lift____In____Ex____E-I flow ratio .100____76____75_______99% .150___115___100_______87% .200___149___134_______90% .250___181___153_______84% .300___213___173_______81% .350___242___195_______81% .400___265___210_______79% .450___282___219_______78% .500___296___226_______76% .550___308___231_______75% .600___316___236_______74% .650___321___239_______75% .700___321___243_______76% .750___321___246_______77% .800___321___248_______77% ![]() ![]() ![]()

Just to verify: seats are 45° on intake and exhaust? Did you have to recut the angle on the Ferrea intake valve?

I am no expert like a few others on here, but I really like the flow progression on the head you have just posted. With a .600-.650 lift cam, it is really nice. I particularly like the intake/exhaust ratio progression as the valve opens, with near 100% at low lift when cylinder pressure is high to extract lots of exhaust when the valve is first cracked. Many porters forget how important low lift numbers are on the exhaust side. Those heads should make excellent mid-level power.

They have the 2.11"/1.77" valves in them. I got the Ferrea 6000 series RAIV valves that were 45° on the intake already.
With these going on a Turbo engine, the high low lift exhaust should really help to spool the turbo up when the valve cracks open.

Paul you would have been able to shift the flow curve down even lower had the heads not been on there second valve job when you got your hands on them!
