Is that price each?!? I can almost bet you that Sylvania Zevo bulbs would be as bright and only cost you between $15-$25 a pair and come with a lifetime warranty. As well, they are typically available at most well stocked parts stores or you can shop ebay for the best prices.

That's for a pair.
I never said they were the cheapest, I said they were a great product. The LED's you show are not the same design as what I have. Look at the pictures from Summit vs. your eBay link.
Maybe the Zevo lights are fantastic, I don't know, but I do know- and have shown pictures- that the Putco Plasma Red LED's are amazingly bright... they made my Tempest visible!

That price for a pair at least makes more sense. Not saying they aren't wonderful, but I'm saying the Zevo bulbs are incredible, especially for the price point. The design looks funky but they really work and are so damn bright you can't really look at them head on.

Any problems with these working with the stock flasher? Do the blinkers still work? I read that LEDs do strange things

I thought this thread was about brake /tail lights, not turn signals.Other threads have addressed turn signals. This upgrade sounds pretty straight forward.

According to some of the sites that list led strip lights, (NOT BULB REPLACEMENTS) the turn signal flasher will work properly if the
front turn signal bulbs and park lights are stock type bulb. If the front bulbs are led as well you will need to change the flasher to a Light duty flasher or
a no load flasher, don't use a heavy duty one or you will have issues. Taken from Digitail installation instruction.

....and they made a 25% brighter difference..i did have to order a nice LED flasher with a ground wire on it which goes into the screw on corner of fuse panel...keeps the blinkers slower and makes a real nice old school clicking sound..little delay on shut off of clicking noise, but i can live with it...and only cost $20 for 4 bulbs...why spend more?

I realize buy now you have already installed them but how hot do they get inside the lense? I am reluctant to get these in case they melt the lense...

Although brighter, LED's actually emit much less heat than an incandescent.

Thats what I always was told as well, but these are "Plasma" so I was unsure if it changed something in the heat department.

Sorry, I didn't see your question previously...
As stated above, they stay way cooler than incandescent bulbs... the Plasma description is more for the intense amount of light they put out.
I'm not going to try to sway any of you, if those 'Zevo' lights work, use them- they are significantly cheaper than the Putco's that I used, and appear to put out a lot of light.

Tailights pieces should be here tomorrow or tuesday, seems Canada customs wanted to have look at them for 7 days. Will post pictures of pieces when they arrive an post here. Have some spare twilight assemblies so will post how they fit as well. Hopefully Ames will revamp their pictures of parts after.

Using a spare set of taillights for mock up.
If the boards were an 1/8 inch narrower they would fit nicely into the lens gasket. The way they sit now, just on top of lens gasket. so I managed to trim gasket a little. Instruction say to put board between gasket and housing but to watch that the circuit on board don't touch housing and short out.
Have glued board to top side of gasket to hold it away from housing further.

more pics, some of the pictures are not straight on as I did not have enough jumper wires and was hold the wires with my other hand, LOL. And almost spilt my beer,
24 rows of 3 led's, so 72 LED'S altogether. on each side. first pic is park lights second is brake, 3-4 same, just with no lens.
