This is what I have. It's interesting to note that one part is primered from the factory, but the other was left unpainted.

Poncho Mike,
Nice parts, but not the ones I’m after. The long pieces are the trunk seal gutters that go on the quarters to span the gap between the trunk hinge panel and the tail panel on each side of the trunk opening. The smaller pieces go above and wrap down over the outer side of the tail lights. They connect the tail panel to the quarters. I would love to have them, but repops will be available soon for the tail light fillers and there is no problem getting used trunk gutters as they fit Camaro and firebird over a lot of years. If you decide to sell PM me a price. Thanks, Stuart “Stan” Landreth. I still have hope that ‘ol pinion head works out! |

I wasn't interested in selling, just using them to help get the parts re-popped. I still may have the other pieces. There is another cardboard box in the attic with NOS tail light assemblies, rear window trim, side markers, and miscellaneous NOS parts that came with the car.

Any word on the availability of these upper fillers? I’m replacing the quarters. Thank you.

Hammertime,
I have not heard any updates lately. I assume they are in the process of test fitting the trial run. I hope to get to mine this year. Watch the Goodmark site for updates on the uppers. Not sure how all this tariff business will affect the goodmark parts either. I have also had zero luck in finding samples of the lower panels to start the process of reproducing them either. Thanks, Stuart “Stan” Landreth |

Are these the same parts that Ron Johnson at Potomac Pontiac Parts was asking for samples of so he could have them reproduced ? Several years back.
If same part , one of our members in Michigan has an NOS pair . He didn't seem to favor Ron's proposal , but I think he would be willing to negotiate with someone about doing CAD scans and keeping his parts. Instead of donating his parts. |

The upper fillers are indeed the result of Ron’s work.
Not sure if he was also looking into the lowers. It’s my understanding that he needs them to hand over for manufacturing and would not be returning them. I want to use one to 3D scan. I would be doing this myself so I could guarantee the safe return of the donor piece(s). Stan |

Yes those are the ones (lowers), and that was the deal .
Contact Keith K on here and maybe a more suitable arrangement can be planned out with CAD. Ron was very honest about the procedure and possible lengthy timeline , and the minimal return to Keith , and the consequences. I think Ron was very involved with all the rear sheet metal pieces that have become available for the 70-73 Birds. He has put in tremendous efforts for the hobby. There is the facet of bettering the hobby for many , and there is the facet of trading an NOS unobtanium pair for a couple pair of repops after a long wait. And what if it all fell through somewhere in the middle .... way over yonder. I can see the points. |

Agree Ron did a great thing especially for the 70-73 sheet metal. Also agree with the struggle of the sacrifice of the NOS parts for repops.
With the newer technology especially with such a small part, I definitely do not see the need for destruction of the part to replicate it. My plan was 3D scan, then a bunch of software magic to get it into Fusion 360. Once there I have access to the CNC equipment to make the dies. I would be doing all the work except the CNC part in my personal shop. This includes stamping the parts. I will reach out to Keith. Thanks, Stan |

So I have my 73 tail light panel cut out and I have the upper filler that I need to separate from the quarter panel. Mine has some rusty places but I would say it’s 97 percent. I don’t know if that’s a viable option for you Stan. How long would you need it? I will be trying to fix mine now that there’s no time frame.

So the AMD cross rail extension for 70-81 Camaro / Firebird is no good for the bottom filler? I just bought a right and left because their web page said it fits.🤬

Hammertime ,
The crossrail and trunk drop offs are very nice pieces and correct. The tail panel needs just a little work, but it’s pretty darn nice too. Unfortunately, those little filler panels in the lower corners do not fit the Firebird they can be made to work by beating them into submission, but are incorrect. As far as the uppers you showed a picture of a couple posts down those are being reproduced now and are not the pieces I need. Thanks, Stan |

I have not been able to find the upper filler panels. Am I calling it the right name? Where can I purchase them? Thanks for the knowledge.

Hammertime,
If you are talking about these (pic below) if they aren’t available now, they hopefully will be soon. |
