Anybody know how much CFM an out of the box RPM intake will support?

Thanks,
Phil

I have always known the SD has the best potential of ANY aftermarket intake (except now the RPM). With supply of good used one running out (and, I had to pay 150.00 for the last one I bought!), and then the blending of the carb flange into the runners, port matching, etc, this intake will be well worth the 225.00! Hell, ya! (You sure this isn't the "One-Away" game from The Price Is Right? The 2 is really a 3, the 2 is a 1, and the 5 is a 6? HA! HA!)

With being pretty new to the site I'm sure I missed a lot of info in the past on this intake. From what all I saw in this post I would love to check out the real thing. I guess what I would like to know is WHERE CAN I GET ONE?????? lol Sorry got a little excited. Do I need to order one on line or can I walk into a local speed shop and tell them I want one? Thanks Patrick

I was wondering about the water passage, did you guys decide to make it one piece or two pieces? I am looking forward to the finished results of the testing. I think it would work great on my 440ci small journal motor!!!

Thanks,
Paul Z.

The water cross over will remained attached.

We hope to resume testing early in the week. With the Dyno going down and the need to get customers' engines out the door Ken has just been plain a$$ swamped.

Dave,
Any chance we'll see a comparison of the torque curve's of these various manifolds along with the peak torque?
Thanks again for the up-date!

Well...we got it done.

This chart displays the Tomahawk (w/out & w/ a spacer) vs. the RPM. You can see that the Tomahawk's performance it right there...and it fits under your hood without modification to your air cleaner/shaker assembly. We are looking forward to testing on a combination that needs more air flow...

More information and the dyno sheets are posted at
Tomahawk

They are coming, they are coming...Pacific Performance Racing will have intakes the end of April. Order now at 310-832-4596.

Dave,

Very fine data presentation. Well done.
I will be studying this along with other data.
5 minute opinion is this is a most advanageous intake.

I revisited your Page-1 picture that reveals the Tomahawwk flange interface to heads. My TorkerIs and Offyl Dual-Quads show paper-thin aluminum along the lower port seal.
Thus a sealing problem for me tall ports. SCE gaskets help yet sealing reliability still an issue.
Tomahawk having alot of sealing lip left all around could have a key street advantage (for me) for that issue alone. HIS

I see the statement "It will fit under the hood"

Is it written "It will fit under a 2nd Gen Formula hood" ??

Put a 1" spacer on the RPM and it would be the winner hands down but since it wont fit under most hoods that is a problem. I would like to see how this intake works with more rpms and higher flowing heads, that is where it might shine. It looks like it will be the best intake that fits under all hoods.

Did the HSD have a 1" spacer on it (I believe you said that it didnt). If not then it made more hp than the Tomahawk did without the 1" space, 480hp to 477hp. Im just trying to compare apples to apples. Running the Tomahawk with a spacer and comparing it to the others without a spacer doesnt seem fair. I do understand not running the RPM without one due to it wont fit under most hoods but the HSD and the T2 should fit.
