The purpose of my 60' time post and the others who have shared their times is, or at least should have been, to show you what can be accomplished with a bit of work and no four link.


But again, for the money, especially at resale time, you can't beat a four link.

Pushrod i know you dont want to slow the car down but 1.33 60s are not slow and thats what the 86 stock suspension monte did with one day at the track.there is also a mustang in my class that has turned a 1.24 60ft.I guess i just think your car looks cool with a small tire.Either way good luck.

Not to change to subject, but didnt you say you were going to spray it?
If so, you will have to retard the ignition.
The MSD digital 7al allows you to ramp it back in as you go down the track.
Messed with it all last year using a lap top. We'r close to optimun. Hopefully this year

I love small tire cars.......I'll be running either a 315/60 or a 325/50 drag radial. I still consider those small tires. I agree with you.

Alot of really fast cars pull timing out to slow them down from what I've heard. That's how all these small tire cars with big power start out.
By pulling timing and using nitrous I'm not taking away any power.

I'll definatly do that. The idea is to get the tires under the car and have
the car low. I've been debating huge tires......I still think I'll stay a drag radial car. I found this firebird on the web. Looks really good.

Now that's how to fill the wheelwell! I love how tight the tires appears on it. Needs to be repainted for my taste, (i am not a big yellow fan)but I'd drive it. If you're going though the work, I say fill the wheel wells like this car.

I wonder if they're stretched?
That car looks kind of dangerous. Whenever the tires are really close you have a good chance of rubbing and blowing out a tire. On a bad rough track with a tight fit you'll have problems. People forget slicks grow.

Slicks grow taller but get skinnier. You need to worry more about hight.

What cowl did you get, the 5" like mine?
