Oh well...back to thrashing..
![]() Getting this diaper on full frame car isn't going to be easy...but it should fit fine once there..I hope.. Modifying a AllPontiac bolt on front plate is taking a little time.. A "A" body won't work (IMO) due to motor mount differences..Think I got it do'albe but getting nuts on frame L-bracket will be very limited on space.. Have at it guys.. ![]() Well...how did it do XSIVPWR..??

I haven't run it all out yet, I raced a S/St & S/G race in Vegas last week so it was throttle stopped. but it ran 11.05 @ 142.5 in S/St & 10.05 at 146. in S/G @ 4100ft. Not to shabby for holding it at 4200rpm for 3 1/2 seconds

And oh yeah I hope I'm still racing when we're 60man & twooldgoats age. It just reinforces what I've always said drag racing is like the fountain of youth.

Gary - That's is a nice MPH for a combo that came right off the engine stand and into the car! Good luck at your next race and keep us updated.
I'm just waiting for the snow to melt away up here on the frozen tundra. Expecting another 6-10" by tomorrow night.... |

I am in the process of changing the gear now from a 3.89 to a 4.11 it was only trapping 6500. Will see how it works. I'm sure glad it has started to warm up here. It was nice being in 80+ deg weather in Vegas. |

Been too hectic of a winter for me to do much to the race car.
As ya'll can tell from my member info,I'm no longer in Austin Tx. anymore. Moved back to my hometown in SE Wisc. Was in a mad rush to drop the engine and trans into the '70 LeMans/GTO race car just before the move, and on top of that I had some problems with the wiring harness in the '88 dually too just before the trip, and that deal ate up like 4-5 days fixing the harness and all, also installed a new cat-con and cat-back exhaust for the dually too.So I feel pretty lucky that I even got it up here in one piece, trip up was fun one, nasty crosswinds practically the whole 1200 miles, and then in so. Ill. I hit the first real winter storm just before Xmas. So after finally getting up here I mostly just dumped the race car in my bro's garage and parked the trailer at a friends place. Then my 83 yr. old Ma got sick,so I had to help her get better. My bro's garage is a full on disaster zone too,and on top of that,my '88 F350 dually currently needs a brake booster and rear brakes among other minor things. And the dually wont even fit in my bro's driveway (über narrow),so I dont really have a good place to work on it. And the weather has sucked b@lls all winter here too... Had to sell my '72 bird street car to help fund the move,as it was just one car too many to move all of them up,and the trailer and truck both needed new tires, all told that deal alone cost me like $2000.00 right there .Not making excuses or complaining, but it is what it is,just too many other things taking precedence till now, hell I have'nt even posted here since I dunno when? Could use an electric water pump (prefer Mezierre) for the race car though,so if anyone has one for a decent price, lemme know. But things from the move are slowly getting sorted out,and the weathers getting a little warmer, now all we need is for it to stop raining around here. Only reason for the long post ^^^^ is I had a few PM's asking if I'm ok and such as I had'nt posted in good long while,so I figured I'd go ahead and post this here. ![]() Bret P. |

Put my DRE diaper on today...along with McRobb starter. Both are top notch...
I still use motor mounts (just because) and diaper fits like a glove..Wasn't too bad considering I have a stock crossmember set up..Thank you Dennis..The McRobb starter allows tons of room between block and starter. Got AllPontiac front plate ready for welder..I don't trust my welds..
