Looking good TA Man! Great thread with lots of good info, I'll be on the edge of my seat waiting to see what the new combo evolves into. In the meantime I'm saving my pennies for a 455 LOL.

Thanks I have a plan for this year,but that usually changes with a late summer upgrade or too. I know with this new bottom end it can handle anything I can throw at it.

Update,Engine swap under way.Engine was pulled two weeks ago,heads and intake are at SD,rockers are at Harland Sharp for a rebuild.

Not sure on exact details,more head flow,milled for compression target of 11 to 1.Intake being portmatched to the new head port opening.An honest 600hp is the goal with the same street manners,91 octane,900rpm idle and run in the 10's in the heat.

Update Shortblock painted and waiting on topend parts and camshaft..New Romac balancer and ATI flexplate should be here today.I'm confirming TDC on the balancer once it arrives.Purists may notice the noncorrect GM blue..its my lucky shortblock color and easy to buy for touch-ups .Sorry Mike (Potent Pontiac) had to spray it blue instead of black.

Ta_man, have you been running 1.65's on the intake and exhaust? Theres been talk on this site the with good flowing heads, 1.65 may be too much on the exhaust side especially with a split pattern cam(like OF) . Something about over scavenging? May possibility pick up with 1.5's on the exhaust?

It may be possible..but I'm pretty sure Dave has done enough dyno testing.I trust his judgement when he is the one porting and setting up the heads and supplying the cam.
