I have the right to complain all day if I want so back off. It is total BS that someone orders and others who have waited still wait. I know damned well now Ron will do whatever is in his head and I don't care. I have the right to inform others he lied and cheated me out of my money and has done the same to others. If other people have got theirs good for them.

If I posted some of his PM to me you would laugh your ass off, I think the guy is off his frickin' rocker or smokin' meth.

So how come you guys bitch about me complaning but are mute when Ron or his wife post sob stories about every little problem and how it holds them up? Answer that? In my business you suck it up and deliver the goods to your customer.

Now he needs to trade headers for a "quality welder"??? It never ends. And with me it never will until I see my cash or product.

So, if you don't like my pissin' and moanin' don't read this thread or my posts, simple.

Well personally i don't care if you'd get your set and you probably don't care either with all the stuff you post. Imo it's stupid to scare potentional custumors who need to provide the money to get your set build and yes everybody knows it's a crap business model but nobody can change that so if you're smart stop whining and wait, but that's just my opinion.

Crusty, We are complaining about you because your diatribe is undermining the only thing in the works that will allow headers to be made. You are being un-reasonable, irrational, and intimidating to potential buyers for expressing an interest in a set of Tri-Y headers from Ron. Your posts are selfish, self-serving, and self-fulfilling your doom and gloom prophecy. I do not know what your business is but if complaining is in the job description you are a “Rock Star” at work. Hi-jacking this post with your constant drivel needs to end. We got it. You are unhappy. Now take your own advice and suck it up. Your right to complain is now infringing on my right and expectation that I can contribute to the Pontiac community in a positive manner through this forum. Please stop.

To all you guys that want us whiners to shut up I got a proposition for for you. Pay your money in and swap places in line for crustysarge, myself, or anyone else that's been owed forever. This would get rid of us or myself anyway for good on this subject. Any takers?

crustysarge...I am here for several reasons. All of which have been stated multiple times. Your purpose as stated to warn others has been done throughout this thread. Done, noted....not sure how anyone could miss it. But nobody says you cant continue. If you want to argue with the other guys here, go right ahead...makes for an unpleasant forum, but I cant stop you.

And I say that to you other guys too.....tbunn, roadrage david, everyone.......lets not argue with crustysarge, Ducks Goat, or anyone else. They do have a right to be unhappy. Going back and forth in a negative way will only have one consequence.....getting this thread locked, losing the ability to communicate about the tri-y's here and potentially losing future sales for Ron

Ducks Goat...I dont think you are whining. You are unhappy, and as I've said I understand that. Wish it wasnt so, but I fully understand why you guys are angry.

There is no specific business model here...unless you want to call it the "scrape together enough sales to pay all the bills and then build an old set of headers" business model. Just the way it is. As stated many times it takes AT LEAST 3 sets ordered to keep the doors open each month. After that it becomes more difficult regarding what comes next. Sometimes Ron has enough to build 2 old sets after meeting the bills. Sometimes its been zero because something has gone awry, or because new supplies need to be ordered.

THIS is the reason new sets have to stay on track and delivered on time...to keep orders rolling in. I stepped in to help make sure the delivery of these new sets happened. Without them, nobody gets anything and the doors close. The old orders take a backseat.....squeezed in at ANY possible moment. When Ron has an extra $100 it goes toward shipping someone's old order...or the materials required to make an old order set.

What many dont realize is it frustrates Ron like crazy to have to give priority to the new orders over the old. Drives him crazy in fact. We have had arguments over it because I see no other way. But its the only way to keep things moving.

Things moved ahead beautifully after the first person he hired got the hang of things. When that guy left for fedex suddenly and the next 2 people flaked after working brief periods of time, what little funds there had been for hiring someone had been exhausted. Result? A few extra sets got built and lots of time/money wasted.

Regardless, old order sets continue to go out.....slowly. Someday I want mine, and I want the ability to order more later.......so you'll all excuse me if I keep trying to make it happen.

Bryan - the list is short. At the moment it is 1 3/4" only in mild steel for:

70-81 Firebird and 68-73 GTO/Lemans/Tempest
64-67 GTO/Lemans/Tempest

These are $495 a set uncoated. Coating is the responsibility of the buyer OR I personally can arrange to have it done at a place near Ron. Ron himself is not offering the coating right now. Next on the table with some orders having been placed already but no deliveries yet are

67-69 Firebird
2" version for 70-81 Firebird and 68-73 GTO/Lemans/Tempest

Stainless steel is an option we were hoping would have been available by now but isnt yet and we dont have an estimated date at this time. Options that are available right now are oval collectors for an additional $45, and reducers (even 3" to 3" usually requires a reducer, but 3" to 2.5" definitely does) are $20 a pair. If the buyer prefers a ball joint/socket adapter those can be purchased and Ron will weld them onto the collector side. Same with any other type flange a buyer prefers.

Glad to hear they are there safe and sound David!

So - is that 2" for a 67-69 FB an option now? 3.5 collectors?

If he is going to do stainless, he needs to get a TIG and he needs to back purge while he welds, or it wont be worth having. There is a lot to welding stainless right, and if its not done right, I dont think it'll hold up.

I paid for mine 04-07-2012 and received them 05-03-2012 and that's international shipping and a few days of added delay because I asked for Ron & Deanna to order gaskets and ship 'm with the headers to me.

So if you're hesitant to order a pair for yourself I hope me posting this here makes it easier for you to place that order.

My thanks to Aron, Ron and Deanna. I'm very happy with my headers, they're a beautiful product. thank you

I haven't ordered any but I have to say they look great and I might consider it if it weren't for the big mess this whole deal is. It blows my mind that people who gave their money years ago still don't have headers but people who order and pay now are getting them? I don't think I'd run my business like that. If I gave my $ a long time ago and didn't have my headers I'd be pissed.

Your post summarizes this entire thread pretty well. I have a set and am pretty happy with them. If you want a set, like you stated, you will get them. They are nice.
