Why have a big chamber? The other guys (chev, ford, mopar) have SMALLER chambers than the Tiger heads for their racing big blocks. Get real. If the Pontiac is going to compete, then it needs the smallest possible chamber for more compression without a power robbing heavy dome. These are not pump gas only heads. Geez. I have to ask, why not have an even SMALLER chamber? But I do know the answer since some are already crying.

Sorry, Bob. My intent was that it is a RACE head for real, not a warmed over street design. I didn't think you intended it for direct competition for Edelbrock or the KRE D-port. I see it as at a much higher level. I feel, like Big Chief, it will be best on custom-built race engines, especially large cubes at high revs. I wasn't trying to say it can't be used. We know people that have KB hemi heads on "street" engines...
Of course, Dude will want a pair for his blower-motor! I suppose it all boils down to what is a "bolt on" part, a "street" part or a "race" part. Everyone can have their own definitions. Certainly no negativity intended! BTW, Bob was very receptive and cordial during our visit. |

Mo, I talked to Bob at length about this. He is supposed to cut one up to see how much meat is around the chamber to CNC to a bigger chamber.
Would be nice, huh. Forgive Ray, everything lately he seems to take as negativity. Yes they have a better deal. AllPontiac can cast the exhaust port in a stock location for Stock Chassis cars. Wenzlers are 240 out of the box. Tiger head 400 plus out of the box. |

bmpmdf....try building a large cubic inch motor and putting boost to it with 45cc heads. Try getting a piston that can be dished deep enough to use and not weigh a ton and detonate to death. It gets to the point where you can only keep the piston down in the hole and use a dished piston, a thick head gasket and head chambers that are opened up. We are not talking about Pro Stock motors here, we are talking about boosted motors. You buy what you need to run 6's. I'll hold my breath. I'll keep looking for what I want.

Hey Guys,
When I designed this head I built alot of diversity into it. Rest assured the Tiger head is very versatile and 85 cc chambers will not be a problem.Bob and Frank have alot on there plate right now and are working out the bugs for the majority. Once they get through this step you will start to see the advantages the Tiger head has to offer. And I can tell you there is nothing that can even come close to the Tiger. Like I said before,we have not even scratched the surface with this head. Don Johnston DCI MOTORSPORTS LLC 330-628-3354 |

In time we will expose the intake ports. If you had a winning race combo, would you post the pictures on the net to show everyone how it was done? Would a NASCAR team show the competition the port if they made more power?
Bruce Michel came to our dyno session with his intake and I was not even allowed in the room to help to put it on my motor. I could not even look down the carburetor after it was installed. I was not even allowed to hold it in the bag. It was like looking at a stock intake from the outside. This intake is what puts him out front at every race he attends. He looked at the port and said holly sh!t I wish I had that in mine. Brian looked at it too. And he liked the way it was done. He has pictures and he better not post them. Don would not even show the right port on the heads that he was showing during his time he was trying to get the head done. It’s not the size of the port, but the motion of the air that’s moving in the port. Bruce’s intake performance did not improve the dyno 1 horse power. What does that tell you? Nor did it take away any. He was so impressed that he left there puzzled to the point he was calling us all the way home. He will post on this head soon. He is a quite person and does not like the lime light. It takes a lot to impress him. We are now testing the whole valve train from the cam up. We are look as to why we did not make more power then we did. The valve springs were doing a hula dance and we think it was the ramp speed of the cam that may have been wrong. We are not wasting time on NOT having a crankshaft. But we are spending money testing the valve train. A spin test of the valve train is what the big boys do. We should getting high speed films to post of the lifter, push rods and valve springs and valves at the seat at high RPM. I do not know if anyone of you has seen a bullet or rocket part at full flight speed, moving in slow motion. I have and can show anyone that comes by some declassified films of a missiles in flight. As a consumer I would not expect you to fully understand what it cost to bring a product to market. The development cost can kill any product in enough time. Just to copy any product is not cheap to do. In time we will have a head that will fill most racers needs. Just be glad that now you have a choice. This head will break a stock motor in half and it broke an aftermarket crank in 21 pulls. Does that tell you something? Just let us get it to market and from there we will customize it to the different racers needs. We are working with the best team out there in head design. The vendors that we are using are not cheep but very quick to solve any problems that we may incur. Yes we are teasing you a little to get a market reaction. The car companies do it all of the time. We are not like some people out there trying to pre sell a product and then build it. You can bet that we will not get a pie in the face on this one. I will be racing our dog in Holly Springs Mississippi on March 19 and 20 if anyone wants to meet. He gets 25 races per dog bowl of food. And has no tire wear. But likes to piss all over the place. We will be the one with the AllPontiac sticker on the side of the dog.

You know, as much crap as someone takes for stepping out on a limb it is a wonder anyone even tries to build a new product. They could have done it like Edelbrock! Just build it without asking anyone in the "know" how to do it i.e. Put the 421 obsolete water holes in them, ancient style chambers, etc.. Ole Vic didn't get his balls busted just for doing something positive because they just did it and we were so eager for something that worked.
The best products in the world come from people who mix their busines with pleasure!! That is, do something for the love of the game and make a few bucks doing it. My guess is they have invested far more than ever expected in time and money and right now, they are worn out and wondering if it is all worth it. If it all works out they will be revered as masterminds. If it fails, they will be the 2 dummies who tried to make a Pontiac part... give them a break. That is business and life wrapped up in a nutshell. The rest need to understand no product will be designed exactly for you. It takes your personal ingenuity to package it and make it work. That is why some are faster than others... Not necessarily meant to offend anyone, just saying my peace! Frank and Bob, good luck and please don't give up! Robin-

Hey Kal....Take your pick!!! There are plenty of small cc aftermarket heads. If you don't like 72cc's just mil them a little. Get 65 cc heads. Get 45cc heads. Nobody is knocking anyone for building the heads they are building. Some of you need to learn how to read!!! All a few of us are saying is keep the turbo/blower guys in mind for the next version. I'm not throwing rocks at anyone. I used to race a 13.9:1 motor for years. I have now switched to a 671 blower for streetability and will be able to run decent numbers with my present setup on pump gas. I don't want to build one motor for street driving and one for racing. That is why I went with a blower. Some of you guys need to get laid or get on Prozac!!! Just calm down...take a deep breath... it will be all right. Thanks to AllPontiac, KRE, Butler, Edelbrock, Wenzler, and other who are making Pontiacs worthy of attention. Without pi**ing off anyone, I just want someone to think about larger cc heads for turbo/blower guys. You would think I was calling your mom names!!
