Driveshaft has been installed. Ive logged about 200 miles on the new transmission and i love it. Definitely worth the money. It nice being able to drive the car at 80 mph without it screaming at 4k rpms lol. The hydraulic clutch also makes shifting very smooth. The one thing i did figure out in ths 200 miles is that i Definitely want power steering lol. I had debated between manual and power steering but now that ive got some miles on the car i Definitely want power steering. So ive been piecing this car together from a handful of car/parts ive picked up over the years but one of the parts i was missing was the brackets for power steering. The game plan was to hopefully find some used ones at the Pontiac nationals this year but i came across this neat aftermarket bracket set online and decided to try it out. I like it. It works good and looks ok. I would have preferred it in black and may pull it apart to paint it but its fine now. I will say it definitely puts the power steering pump at a very weird angle but it seems to work fine. Next step is to finish up the battery truck mount/install. That should be the next update.
