77k for the 71 Judge, but they didn't let us see it.
We ARE the ugly stepchildren at the ball!

Seems like last year they cut to commercial while a GTO was on the block a little too often for it to be coincidence!

Same for the 67 column shift GTO....went to commercial and it was sold upon return. Under $29k
Not a good start for Pontiac coverage and I see the MOPAR leanings. Same for MUSTANGS. |

The value of a service is that which people are willing to pay.
Why do people pay thousands of dollars to sit in unconfortable seats for a few hours when the can watch the superbowl for free on TV? That being said there seems to be a lot more money than brains out Scottsdale way right about now!

The reason they went to commercial was because of the GT500 top seller for the day went down right before the Judge. Seems pretty simple to me just like any other live broadcast that has to get their commerical $$ in.
Anywho, the 77K judge was White and that was before the 18% or whatever it is...

I watch BJ every chance I get and I'm yet to see a Judge on the block. I complain to my wife thru the whole telecast about "no Judges" and she says shes tired of hearing it. Last night I did the same thing everybody else did....sit there and wait for the 71 then.......................commercial. She laughed and I went to bed.

Well the 69 should go across around 9:30p ET tonight... You'll hear me scream if they skip it. Last year they covered a couple Pontiacs, whoo.

Looking like around 10 or so now. Yea, let's hope they don't just skip over it.

Yes, unbelievable indeed!! I was looking forward to that. Waited/watched 3.5 hours of coverage to see it cross the block, only to have them cut to a commercial break (an extra long one, I might add), come back from commercial only to show the top sales of the past two days & then briefly mention that it went for $70K, but not show ANY of the actual auction action or commentary once it was on the block! Duh. I didn't know this was the car that sold for $70k and started a thread in '69. A real shame about the commercials and double shame it sold for less than a small block '69 Camaro RS/SS.
But I'm still going to watch, love seeing everything. |
