I dunno, I don't think the Camaro's taillights are anywhere near the Volt's, although I do think the Camaro's are an uninspired facelift.

Great pics. I'm not bashing, but that Hyundai doesn't do it for me. Can't say that Jeep looks very Jeep-like either. One thing I can't understand is why movie producers have to take any decent looking car and screw it to tears. That blown "Turbo" Camaro is the pits. An escapee from some Mel Gibson movie.......

I just chose a few to feature. There weren't many cars as show car-ish as the Hyundai. I want to see Autorama-kind of stuff but it was at a deficit there.
There's more to show, which will come within the next few days. |

Great pics! Looks like the same cars and displays as was in the Chicago Auto Show back here in February, except for the Chevy SS.
The new Corvette is so weird in that pictures never do it justice. It looks much better in person. At the Chicago Auto Show a few weeks ago, the female spokesmodel started her speech by saying something like, "Here's it is, the new Corvette, totally new! And yes, it looks better in person than in pictures!" What an odd thing to say, but I guess in today's world of instant marketing and social media, Chevy was aware of the criticism immediately. And yes, the Camaro from the upcoming Turbo! movie was at the Chicago Auto Show too, but there were always about 4-5 little kids around it! That was their target audience, so I think it's pretty effective. I liked the Hot Wheels Camaro, both the 1967 and the new one. Very cool blue they used on those cars. The 2014 version was displayed on an orange track, looking like it just came out of a Hot Wheels loop.

The Subaru has aggressive Art Center design written all over it.
The Acura is almost something out of a cartoon, like circa 1940's. Very thought provoking design for sure. Very bold. Not sure if I like it or not, but I would drive it to see. The Rolls clearly has yestertech rounded roof lines that is very 30's automobile. And of course, the new Stingray has my attention, but only in asphalt with red interior would work. Too much Ferrari some say? Well, if I can get off half the sticker price or more, then why not... Very tempting that one.

I would like it to be less Ferrari-like and more original - a similar complaint I have with the new Caddy CTS, which looks like a Mercedes from the A-pillar on back - but in person the car looks fabulous.

this car is exactly what people wanted--- lighter, faster, better looking... and still they complain like babies.
a factory race car. whats not to like? GM has already said that the z\28 will beat the already stellar ZL1 by 3 seconds around a track which puts it light years ahead of the boss 302 or the gt500. an LS7 Z\28 camaro. this is an awesome car.

Great. Now you can have what the Camaro supposed to be. All the other idiots who bought cars prior to the Z-28 shall cry over their pre-purchase. Life goes on, things change. Unfortunately, not much has changed in the body or interior except a few gizmos. This is what the American car companies are all about these days. It's not about being able to tool up to change things to attract customer interest. It's about the corporate bull crap a division of a much larger company has to deal with to get change. Anemic at best...

I'm not sure where you're coming from because the Camaro has been given a facelift both inside and out - how is this "not about being able to tool up to change things to attract customer interest?" The Z/28 is a brand-new model that has attracted customer interest to the nth degree, and Chevy should be congratulated for keeping this under wraps so well. Perhaps it doesn't satisfy your sensibilities, but at this point GM is going to milk the current car for all its worth until the next-gen Camaro (which is already known to be smaller and lighter than the current version) is ready for market.

I'm not sure what the problem is? This isn't particular to American cars but, rather, all cars in the industry. Perhaps you want a Camaro but not in its current iteration? That's fine, but the problem is with your expectations, not Chevrolet.

I believe the new Camaro is a front wheel drive car from a different body platform? Not sure but it would kill the Camaro if they did front wheel drive.
I fear the Camaro may live a short life as such the GTO did. Believe me, I was excited when the current Camaro was released. Neat car compared to what was being produced at the time, but you have to remember, that design, the current model is some 12 years old already. It seems pretty common place that American car makers milk a body style for like 10 years at least. The current Camaro was delayed in release because some designers wanted to drop the roof line by one inch more. That tells me, there is too much BS going on in GM. The front end design of the current Camaro, is just ugly with the way the head lights are. I'm not looking for bug eyes. Most Japanese designs are humanistic or organic looking. I would rather see a more industrial look to things with design in mind that reflects the technology of today. The current Camaro does have a brow beat look, but lacks elegance in taste to me. This is just my opinion. I believe Cadillac design team is really pushing the limits of strong features and aggressive industrial design. Sharp angles worked into a body style is very hard to accomplish to have that stealth look to it. When a car looks good sitting as well as it's traveling, that is a sign of good design. Moving while sitting is a hard bill to fit. To provoke feelings and thought into a car design is what GM should be moving towards and not doing milking services to its customers.
