As much as I would love to have a max effort n/a Pontiac motor the cost isn't worth it to me.

Turbos aren't going to cost anywhere near that dollar per HP ! Fabbing the piping can get pricey if you have to send it out . More so if you want beautiful to go with it. Can be done affordably though and function over pretty can work as well.

The best part IMO is ability to have more power than you could ever get N/A and still be docile enough to drive anywhere!

Wasn't this post about Chiefs top end? Let's get back to that... I'm sure Bill and Jim will deliver a top notch product that will preform better than his current e head combo. Not to take anything away from what he is running but I think he will do very well when all is said and done.
I'm sure there will be growing pains as there is with any new combo but I would be willing to lay down money that he will be faster and have less trouble when all is said and done. Jmo

I honestly can't see where a man that has a 10.00 car should have anything negative to say about another man's program that far exceeds his own. I know and have talked to all these people. Really? Who really cares? Nobody. You don't want to cut up your gto? Smartest thing you ever posted! Other than that a bunch of b.s. Get real man. I'm a small fish in this pond and you will NEVER outrun me. Unless we race keyboards

cheifbob, since waited all that time to come and post that bit of your country wisdom it seems you have taken a real liking to me. You went through all that trouble and thought I would only think it to be fair if I offered you my sincere help. What I need is to know where to send a full size poster of myself to you, help you out and all since you are so concerned.
That way you can staple it to the ceiling right over your bed, so we can be close since I am on your mind so much. It will have a side benefit, if the person laying next to you ever gets tired of your smiling face all they have to do is open their eyes them BAM, my smiling face will be right there to comfort the both of you.
You can pick the pose. I can stand straight and tall with hands on hips, I call that one "The Superman". Or, one elbow on my knee with hand on my chin, I call that one "The Thinker". Best one for last. I can grow my mustache real thick and bushy, I call that one The Harry Reems" . That's for the little lady.
I just want to help a fellow PYer out, since you seem to want to help me with your thoughts.
Maybe we can do the poster as a gif, you pick the phrase. I like "Bite Me".
Or, maybe you can make me into a "fat head" and rent me out for things like birthday parties. You will be the coolest guy on the block.
Since I am renting out space in your head we need to do all we can to make sure I am close by.

No mention of any engine buidlers or machine shops. Very impressive. Deliver your photo in person. That would be sweet

Bob, you dont like me and I am cool with that. Everyone does not have to like me. You seem to think Brian can not take care of himself, he does just fine.
See, him and I have been going back and fourth for years and that is OK. I still respect him, Bruce, George and Stan who exchange our thoughts from time to time, disagreeing some. But you seem to feel the need to call me out, call me names(shows your true intellect, you are a phony) Because I do not have a 8sec car I can not speak to that level of racing. You are free to your opinion ,I am fine with it. Dont need your approval.
You think I put a rear end in my car that can handle 1600+HP to run 10s? I stared a build back in 2004, you know when the fast guys now were running 10s,9s. But Leukemia in the family changes things. Then mill closures over the next 10 years and my builder died.
Kept my car and my stuff. You think if I have acquired most of the stuff to build a 900HP engine I am going to just look at it ? Dont be so sure of yourself. Have inside track on a real deal 2300lb Pro Stock bird. Better car than 98% here.
You want a piece of me, you got it. You just very well might be smarter than me, but statistically speaking, not very likely.
You know how many guys have fast cars but dont know jack ? Lots. Tracks are full of them. Sure hope you are not one of those guys who writes checks and just gets behind the wheel.
You can act all humble and say you will never know half as much as those that came before you and all. But if that was they way it worked we would be going backwards.
Why don't you try a novel approach, mind your own business.
Sleep tight, now close your eyes and imagine what my poster would look like over your bed.

Carefull John. If you offend the west coast super genius vaught may send you nasty private messages personally attacking you. Your education- job and financial status is fair game.

If you were an east coast (Virginia) super genius (vs a guy just running his mouth about other people) I would stand up for you too.

Dragncar and I argued for years on this board.
He is just a guy who liked/respected a guy that I also was privileged to meet and respected: Dan Whitmore.

We worked out our differences.

chiefbigb sends me some PM notes and then gets butt-hurt because I do not bow down because he has 3 race cars and 2 show cars. Probably is a great guy, just one of the attackers ganging up on Dragncar.

Brian (slowbird) has selective memory.
He calls me up and I help him with his flow bench project years ago. Do not know how well it worked out after he actually built it but he got some good advice and parts that other people have been very happy with. But that is typical of his generation. Selective Memory.

So on with your bashing. I look at PY Race Section like I would look at the interaction between Paul Teutul Sr. (Orange County Choppers)
and his son. Kind of like a reality show where people tune in to see what the next show will bring in the way of comedy.
There are no 5 second Pontiacs out there on the track, much less 5.70 ET full body cars (with small engines and twin turbos).

I can cheer for the guys in second or third place in a race but that still does not mean I can't like the actual the really fast guys like
Langer running 7s NA vs George running low 8s with a 8-71 supercharger. Or Mahovitz running 5.70s with a full body car vs a lightweight dragster running 6s.

Tom you sent me the messages. I sent a reply. Twist things as you please. I sent you my contact information. It stops there. I will not play your stupid childish games. Personal attacks on people's education/ financial status and life choices speaks volumes of your character.

Lets be clear for the board here.
YOU sent me a pm and stated that you had 3 race cars and two show cars, good for you. You also stated that I probably had a lot of debt after I replied that you have race cars and I have Patents. I replied that I have no debt. Lots of money in the bank, kids have no college loans and very good paying jobs, LARGE house has been paid off for 20+ years. So I said you were wrong.

You really don't like being told that you are wrong, chiefbigb.

Everyone has priorities and hobbies.
Mike and Eric like to drag race a Funny Car.
Dragncar wants to build a drag car/engine that fits HIS NEEDS.

I help people with Holley and Rochester Carb Tuning and Boost Questions.

So when you send me nasty PMs I for the most part ignore them or give you the actual info vs your misinformation in your PM.

Why don't we just get back to the thread, everyone knows Dragncar has a plan for his stuff.
I am TRYING to avoid conflicts in the forums and have been communicating by PMs, but you bring the war between Dragncar and I right back into these threads.

Are you bored with your life or just trying to bump up your post count?

Tom V.

You mean the one who maybe has running 10.00's is trying to telling Billy who has run 7.22 @ 3700# how it should be done.

Bill you can impress the Sesame Street Outlaws fanboys all you want by slapping Big Chief's name on everything, but Chief Running 3.99 in the 1/8 th on 315's in Radial vs the World trim, with little 340cfm Aluminum RAIV heads, was far more impressive than him being #1 on any stupid list ( which could be staged for all we know) . Fulton's car runs good but its a professional test n tune machine, that isnt limited by the rules of actual heads up classes like Langer, Snyder, Dwight, Kinsler, Billy, etc. Backhalf, fogger...hell, the few heads up classes its legal for, it wouldnt even be competitive in.

Fwiw... Fulton runs a DOT tire "street" class in Minnesota. He ran same configuration at Beech Bend. I think he cut a tire at Norwalk and can't recall if he ran same replacements.
Btw pretty sure he won. His class at Brainard with the CV heads that year as well.
