Does Edelbrock track test there intakes??? .........Nah.. I think they just dyno them like we did.
So has anyone checked out the great detail on the Pontiac "Arrow" And "GTO" manifold bolts kits and full engine kits! They are in the What's New section and Featured Products section. We are working on new pics. But they are SWEET kits! They are Grade 8 Chrome Hex. Perfect for instalation of the New Tomahawk intake! Be Cool, http://pacificperformanceracing.com

Slowbird...plenty of room to enlarge the port entrance to a 2.35" high port. That is basically a RA IV port. There is event more material for the adventuresome...

RA4 is 2.200 I believe so there is room to raise the port .150 over RA4?

SCE has a 2.350 gasket. My Torker II took some heliarcing to make 2.300!
Ken I think the out of the box comparison was a good one , BUT I doubt most of us "tinkerers" on the board here install an intake as such. I think your next comparison should be blended intakes. Yes yours doesn't need the time/labor to do all of that so a plus there, but it would show the true potential comparison of that intake for us street strip guys. Lee, got the RPM and a Victor at 2.20 if you need them!

Lee- If interested, Skip has my Holley Street Dominator intake that was modified by Dave Bisschop. But it uses a taller gasket.

Don't work the 9th, the 16th or the 30th.Need to get my new motor up to the dyno one of them.Got Steve's Holley intake also but probably not much different than the Tomahawk since that was the mold.
Got a new 850 DP also if you want to try.

I'm working the 9th, but the other two dates are possibilities. How tall are Steve's HSD ports? I'm at 1233 height, which I believe is 2.200"

Lee,
With all the Dyno mess ups. I have fallen behind on alot of things. Besides the Intake we are also doing New short Aluminum Valve Covers (which will be posted maybe tonight) So things are a lil hectic. The manifold will be at Pontiac Heaven along with the new Vlave Covers and Bolt kits. We will ship the manifold out after the race! And hopefully Lee can get it to the track on the 16th as it should be about the same time we recieve our first 40 intakes. I will be calling you up this week Lee to work out everything. Be Cool, http://pacificperformanceracing.com

Man...I barely get home with the new valve covers to photograph and Ken is already putting on the presure for me to get them posted. LOL
Skip, you are right on. As we have said, Ken's street performance "test mule" provided a good base line but we need to push the limits of the RPM so that the Tomahawk shines. That means running it on a 300+ cfm headed engine with more cam. And yes, we'll likely massagge the port entrances a little.

30deg advance seems too efficient for the # 62 head.
Is there merit to try 34deg advance? , and jet accordingly. HIS

Initial testing is complete. Various timing points and jetting was tried.
Our next testing will be on a bigger engine...

Well, don't brake nothin. Your prior dataset was good data because you were able to finish with out fractures. That'sa why I didn't ask for data to 6200RPM.
Looking forward, HP or Twist data from 5300 to 6200 is most revealing. In the spirit of getting there with the numerous manifolds just go from 5300 to 6200 then back off. Skip the points in between because we all can interpolate. Gues I'm asking for 6200RPM now. I would request that you provide HP data at 2900RPM. A freebie..
