As of last Saturday this is where I sit. It passed the chassis cert and after the addition of 2 more bars up front, the body goes back on and the dreaded tin work begins.....

Looks great! Congrats on the chassis cert---that's the scary part. Actually, I enjoyed doing the tinwork on mine, even though I had never done any before. I bought the wheelwell kit and the door and quarter panel kits and the pre-curved trans tunnel and made all of the rest. You just have to be hugely patient and make tagboard patterns.

I'm getting started on my 455, but have alot of small jobs to do on the body and interior. Finally got my reversed wheels I made on the back to see how the slicks look. Hopefully will be back to racing in a few months.

Thanks guys, just looking to have a little fun. Kinda liking the looks of the black steelies over the cragars I had. With some of the nostalgic races I go to modern wheels are not allowed, which would hurt the look i'm going for anyway.

And damn, purple meter blocks, and a light blue colored nitrous plate? WTF are you going to show up at the track with a rainbow sticker on the back of the car too?

Come on man. All the high zoot racers cover up the carb and intake with a towel to hide "speed secrets" and keep competitors guessing.

For example, your ram air fuel bowl vent fixtures must be worth 2 tenths when you premix east coast air in the fuel.

You should add a music file to your update posts that plays the theme from Jaws.
