Cool pics guys. Keep them coming. This thread seems popular enough to start a Pro Touring section. Are any of the moderators paying attention?

Just got mine back together in time for the Lone Star Spring Good Guys Autocross. It's been 4 months since I drove this car and I missed it! I took 4th and my son took 6th, he's nearly 17 and been driving for a year. I liked those results considering this was a shake down outing and we are still running last years beat tires and the cars that beat us had exceptional drivers in well prepared cars- A boosted Coyote Mustang, Full bolt on C6Z06 and a Full bolt on 5th gen Camaro all running Rivals.

73,
Was that pic taken in Fresno? The GTO in the background looks like one I've worked on before.

Curious how you do on the Vintage Air install, maybe start a thread for that so others have a reference too.

I will be doing my Vintage Air install soon, and will do fab that hopefully will help others. Currently, there is no kit available for 70-72 A-bodies. Pretty certain I can do a plenum adapter that might change that fact.

.
There seems to be a lack of vintage air install threads. I took some pics but each car is going to be a little different. I spent days re routing the fuel injection harness and wiring the vintage air. It's a pretty ugly process.

Yes there is a lack of threads, plan to do one for my efforts. Just to say, NEVER start with the Chevelle kits, use the new Cutlass kits.

I am somewhat determined to use the OE duct work, and have nearly master the skills of 'welding' plastic. If that fails, I'm going to switch over to the Cutlass kit ducting, and use the Cutlass lap vent setup. Already purchased the OE lap vent piece, just in case I bail.

This is the one thing that's holding up my build, and it's getting pretty frustrating.

Here's what I got so far.

I haven't looked at the Cutlass kits until now. The condenser mounts in a better position. And the under dash unit has a extra front mount that I don't have.
The defrost looks similar. All the searching I did, all the calls to after market air company's, and custom car builders with no help..

Can I ask how you were able to get the Torker 2 manifold to fit with a shaker scoop? Also, if I may ask, how far would you say those Dougs headers sit below the oil pan?

Default Impressive

That is an wickedly impressive looking setup OLDFLM72. Do you have any pics of your car in action on the track?

I don't know if you're going to the Pontiac Natl meet in Dallas in July but your beauty would be a hit at the show. We're also racing drags one night in Ennis & getting some track time at TMS.

Can you talk more about the Southern nationals? When, where, what's the drag racing about and what track time is planned for TMS- just laps around the oval or road racing on the infield course?
