Default My 63 Lemans V326 - Just under 21k original miles.

Hello All. New to the LeMans/Tempest line, but am as excited about this car as any I have ever owned. It is basically a nostalgia drag car that still has original paint, interior, motor and radiator. Wait till you see the undercarriage of this thing- it has crutch-type ladder bars that hit mid-chassis; a muncie 4 speed grafted in; 1.5 inch piece of wood under the carter 4-bbl carb, factory tach, vintage coiled fuel line with provision for dry ice and a pair of capped exhaust dumps- one aiming forward and one rear. It came with the actual paper bill of sale, payment book, protect-o-plate and about 100 time slips from Cecil County, MD dragway in 63 and 64. Then it sat for almost 30 years. I am the second owner of the car and ecstatic to own something with this much documentation. The owner also gave me the actual hot rod magazines from 1963 documenting the new V326 offering and another that contained the unveiling of the Chevy 427!

Since I am new to this era car, your help will be appreciated. I have no idea what rear is in the car, but the setup is pretty trick. It appears to be an old Olds or Pontiac. Anyone know?

I didn't know it was possible for me to fall in love with a car before!

I believe the world will bow to it.

326 - 3 speed manual. Good driver. Rather not cut it up for a straight(rear) axle street/strip nostalgic car....

Here (hopefully, if I uploaded it correctly) is a picture of my 62 LeMans. It has a 215/auto, but will eventually be getting a 400/TH400. It is originally a 4 cylinder, but someone did a complete swap sometime before 1970, including all correct parts (except the subframe, they made their own motor mounts) from another 62 Tempest. For now, it is my daily driver.
