I spoke with Gary on the phone. (Hell of a nice guy)
I didn't post here but I too received mine a few weeks back and posted about it and my install on TAC. I was surprised also about receiving a call as when I ordered mine in '09, I was at the store in Huntington Beach in person. I saw the list on the guys system and I was 350 down. Gary, if you read this, I went and looked carefully. Mine did not warp under a 98 degree day in the sun last week. I can't say why the difference. hmmm... Gary I wonder if there is anything to what 1973 Formula said... If it has to do with the mounting screws? Mine has a slight dip right above the guages where there is NO screw. It installed that way. I can push up on it above the guages and make it straight. Where is the lifting in relation to the screws? Gary's car is too nice and too original to not have a nice dash in it. Let's get this solved.. I'm glad CI was willing to work with him and be fair. But we all want a good dash that will last at least a FEW years.... here is a link to the page in the DASH thread on TAC where I post my install report. http://transamcountry.com/community/...topic=39761.15

Hey Gary-
How tight were the mounting bolts where the fit into the metal dash slots. Another guy recently installed one of the new dashes and said he had to force his dash all the way to the passenger side to get the bolts in the slots. If the bolts are tight up against one side of the slot, there won't be any room to expand or contract. Just curious if you encountered the same when installing yours. I will elongate my slots if I run into a similar scenario on my car. Thanks, Tom PS - Anyone that wants one of these should order from an OER dealer that doesn't have a waiting list.

Dashes
Taking a break from restoring some bezels this evening after football practice, scanning through this post...I have put my bezel restoration information on a web-site with a fellow Trans am restoration specialist in my hometown in Indiana...I only work on bezels but Greg does all the restoration on the interior parts (dashes, consoles, along with tail lights)...check out the information at http://www.hoosiertransamspecialists.com The web site just started up this past week and Greg is looking to get the initial work going in his new shop. He has been restoring TA's for 25 years now, you can get his information from the site. Judging by the concerns over the dashes, you should take a look at his work and what he has to offer...I have attached a photo of some dashes he has already completed.

I got both of mine about two weeks ago. They look good, but I haven't taken a real close inspection to compare it to the original.

Here's a thread at TAC that covers it very well. Jamesf tells all about the one he got and the installation and how it's holding up: http://transamcountry.com/community/...?topic=39761.0
