Formula,
Temp sensor is good.
I did have a problem ,but have since changed it and still same problem. It's within spec as you posted.
I am now making little changes and saving so I can revert back... problem is, I've been into this so long, I cannot go back to initial because I didn't save it from the start.
I'm going to do a datalog and post.,.if you see anything out of the ordinary let me know, and I'll use that as a baseline...
Thanks, Jeff

Run a new wire from your engine harness connector to bypass the OE resistor. Dig the sealant out of the cavity of the coil wire, remove the terminal, and plug in a new wire. That allows you to retain the OE harness intact.

The terminals are Packard/Delphi/Aptiv 56 terminals, available in both male & female.

Might be Packard 59 series, unplug the terminal and look before you order.

I replaced the resistor wire already. I removed and ran a 14ga wire from the firewall junction directly to the coil. I'm going to use that an the trigger wire when I wire in the relay.
I'm going to run a datalog and post it later.
Thanks, Jeff

Hm, I missed where you replaced the wire, but ok.

If it's showing a big drop during cranking, not sure adding a sol will improve it. Make sure your batt cables, starter cable, and core grounds are good.

Is the battery fairly new? Less than 3 years old?

I'll double check those connectors.
Not sure if a 2 volt drop while cranking is acceptable.
FYI... I have a post started on the Holley sniper forums also and there thinking it's more of a fuel and timing issue. I'm making some suggested ECU changes and we'll see how that goes...

Yeah I read through that and looked at the tune. As I suspected there are a bunch of things changed around that need addressed, as they mentioned. That's why I suggested starting over with a new wizard setup and saving it.

Youre in good hands over there. Once you get a good timing table setup with proper fueling I think most of your issues will be resolved. From there some good tuning changes to tweak things should have it running pretty sharp.

I just fitted a Sniper 2 to my 389 '66 GTO and got it running today. Just used the hand held to build the initial calibration and it fired straight up cold and hot without issue. My battery voltage drops to about 10.5V when cranking but I have pulled the resistance wire completely out of circuit and replaced the wire with a 16AWG wire.

Out of curiosity, what fuel pump are you running and what fuel pressure? Does your pump have a check valve in it to hold residual line pressure? I ended up putting a Holley muscle car drop in fuel pump in mine and it holds 60psi line pressure rock solid and when the car is off will hold about 20-30psi and will gradually bleed off over the day. But the minute I key it on it's straight to 60psi during pump prime.

I have the Holley in tank pump.its a return less system.
I have 58-60 psi as soon as you turn the key on and it's constant.
I don't have the resistance wire either. I replaced 14g from the firewall connector to the coil.
I'm talking with some guys on the Holley forum and posted my tune. They are thinking it's more of a fuel and timing issue, some going to make some tweaks over the weekend and see.
