And I'm jealous of your garage that will have the 2-post lift. I have a scissors lift I hate and I'm selling it. Besides that, I only have an 8 foot ceiling.

Clearance is even less because of the garage door opener unit. That will be replace with a wall mount opener that attaches to the torsion bar.

A friend of mine has 2 of these unit, for his garage. Nice thing is you can raise the doors separately with one external keypad.... with separate codes. To close them, all you need to do is press Enter for them to close.... no code needed. Codes are only needed to open them.

Look closely at the garage door pictures and you will note that is the door opener‘s that I recently had installed. Very clean looking operator!

There was a rattle in the drivers door, only with the window up, and the driver side armrest was showing it’s age. So after pulling the armrest, cranks, and door panel off to find a broken rear door glass track (clearly the source of the rattle) I remove the vinyl from the armrest and replace the foam. It required steaming the original vinyl to stretch it back into shape before recovering the new foam with it.
Takes a little more work to keep this Survivor GTO as original as possible but it’s worth it.

Agreed. Similar to the gent who posts here with the original gold '67 that he got from the original owner. The right 'new' owners doing their cars proud. Helps make up for guys like that guy who was here a few years back who found a triple black 4 speed tripower '66 survivor and turned it into an LS powered restomod and parted the original drivetrain.

I put the all original Survivor GTO on the scales. It is a 4-speed, 4-barrel car, with power brakes and steering. The car has extra under coating installed by the first owner. 1/2 tank of fuel, spare tire and jack in the trunk. She weighed in at 3599 lbs!

Cleaning 55 years of road grime and bug guts out of the 350 +/- grill openings on the drivers side grill, Not fun! I used spray nine and a bunch of Q-tips along with some foam brushes. Then using a foam brush I treated the plastic with Mothers back to black plastic restorer. The original emblems are in excellent condition just needed a good cleaning. A lot of work to preserve an original grill, but I think the results were worth it.

I thought it was a cool way to label the cabinets. There an alphabetical order and the tool lockers I used engine displacements from Ford Dodge and Pontiac.

The Bullitt Charger was long but fun build. Nice to have that car done! I got some ink on the build in the May issue of the Mopar Collectors Guide. The Charger and my son’s Bullitt mustang will be going on the HRPT in June:-)
