Other makes of cars that you are into?
It goes without saying that everyone reading this has a strong interest in Pontiacs. Why else would we be here?
That much we have in common, even if Pontiacs is not where your heart lies. If you have a deep interest or ownership in other cars, what are they? Mine is with Corvettes, mainly the C2. |

I think that some of us let our signature speak for itself.
I would love to have a six speed late model Challenger, but the mileage, my income, and my commute distance make that a poor choice for a daily driver... the current daily driver might be a compromise car - but since buying it, I have not regretted it once. Older 1990-1991 Quad4HO (fwd) Cutlass Calais 442's are a really fun car too - assuming you can find one in decent shape; The uplevel Oldsmobile version was a Cutlass International Series, and for a more refined overall package (try to stifle the laughter) the Grand Am SE was a fantastic car; My Grand Am is essentially the "442" of the Grand Am - only offered for a smidgeon over one model year.

I like most Mopars- have a 69 Charger (General Lee clone) and my wife drives a Charger SRT8. The new ones are great cars, the old ones are junk but look cool.

Other than my Firebird I have a '68 Coronet 500 convertible. My uncle bought it new, sold it to his dad and I own it now. Nothing fancy, just a 318, 2bbl. Unfortunately it was a PA car, so it has it's share of rust.
Uncle in 1969... As it is now...

I have a 1970 Blazer and 1972 Cheyenne Super, so I'm into the '67-'72 GM trucks..

1997 Mustang Cobra convertible. Triple black, mainly stock but a lot of fun to drive....powerful, handles OK and top down on a summer night can’t be beat.
On the downside, rides pretty stiff and backseat & trunk pretty useless......but I don’t care |

I have owned numerous x frame chevys (59-64). My favorite is the 59 model year. Gotta love those cat eye taillights. Sadly my 59 Impala two door hardtop in Roman red with white offset trim color got totaled by a woman who ran a redlight long before this 20 year old kid knew about collectors car insurance. I think they gave me 3400 bucks for it. She was a beaut

I’ve always wanted a ‘68-‘70 AMX and window shop for them all the time. Same goes for a ‘70-‘72 240z.

Huge fan of most of the 1959-1971 year Impala's, and also 71-72 Olds 442's. Most anything that wasn't GM during the 60's didn't trip my trigger. 68 Chargers and 67-69 Mustangs are the exception to that rule, though.
Currently I own a 16 Charger Hellcat, which unfortunately will be getting sold to make room in the garage for my 68 GP. Modern Mopars are no doubt my favorite, really like the trucks as well, having a 15 2500. |

1955 Bel Air always catches my eye. Lucky enough to have one in the garage. Never get tired of that car.
Also like 'cudas...never owned one but would like to have one someday. Sometimes dream of a late 50s El Dorado restomod.....that might be a fun car to own. Late 60s Buick Riviera....those are wicked looking. |

I'm surprised to see someone else say this, and I came here specifically to do the same! Great, great cars, the '95-97 in particular are the best of the breed. Had my '95 for eight years now and I absolutely love it.
Among other things, I'm into a whole host of mid-60's through early '70s vintage GM iron, as well as have a particular affinity for the LT1 equipped C4 Corvettes. I'm growing more and more fond of the early 2000s Chevy/GMC trucks with the 5.3L and will probably be looking to acquire one in the foreseeable future as well. |

On any given day, I'm into... ???
I've been accused of being a Ford man, having had many Falcons- '60, '61, '62, '63, '63 1/2, two '64s, and my current '67; plus a '63 Comet, a "little" '62 Meteor, some full size Fords, and many Ford trucks. But I've also enjoyed many GMs and Mopars, and even a Nash and a Hudson. My 10 year project '59 GMC is fun, as the 101 year old Buick has been the last couple summers. And of course Wangers' 'Bandit' Suburban has been great the last ten years.

I cut my teeth on the full size 1958-1970 Chevies before I got my driver's license, and the '59-'62s are still dear to my heart. W-motors put me in a trance. My choice to own now, would be any 2-door '61 (non-convertible) or a '65 Impala.
My current overall preference though, for classic cars, is Buick with Pontiacs close behind. I had been a Pontiac fan for a while after I turned 20 but the Buicks gradually grew on me. I think it germinated from 71-73 Rivieras. It took me a while to grow out of them (boat tails) but now I appreciate the 68-70 Rivs much more. And I would choose a 71-72 Grand Prix over the boat tails, hands down. I like Oldsmobiles too, with my favorite classic being the '60-'62 eighty-eight series. I've always thought the 1970 Rallye 350 Cutlass' were pretty cool. |
