I'm looking for a license plate frame or dealer emblem from Leo Jarnagin in Ft. Worth, Tx or Monk King which was in Denton, TX. I understand Jarnagin had dealerships in Ft. Worth and Houston so that might be easier to come by.

If figure anything Monk King will come at a premium, so Jarnagin stuff is preferred. That's also where my car was originally sold.

Been looking for Jarnagan trunk emblem for a long time. My T-37 HO post car was sold out of Jarnagan's dealership in Ft Worth as a used car immediately after it arrived from the Milford Proving Grounds.

Later Jarnagan decals stated "honey of a deal". not sure when that started or if there was a potmetal emblem that had the same logo. Another of my '71 HO cars came originally with a decal from its original selling dealer. By the mid 70's dealer decals were much more common place.

My '68 had a pot metal emblem attached with two big fat philips screws. It said "Honey of Deal" under the name with a yellow bee on the right side and Ft. Worth under that.

I saved it when I removed it in '91. It was in my dad's warehouse for a long time but I lost track of it when I moved out to California in '97. He's moved warehouses since and purged a lot of my junk so it might be long gone. I couldn't find it last time I was home

I'd imagine there's probably a few of them still on cars in old school junk yards in North Texas and Oklahoma. He opened the Ft. Worth store in '64 and the Houston store in '71. I'm not sure if they overlapped. The switch to decals might have happened with the Houston store.

I recall Leo Jarnagin used the "Honey of a Deal" emblems at their Houston TX dealership thru model year 1974.

You might want to call CTC Auto Ranch in Denton TX to see if they have any Monk King or Leo Jarnagin Emblems. I toured CTC's yard a few years ago and saw a few dealer emblems still on the trunk lids of some of the the old Pontiacs they had sitting in their yard.

Thanks for the lead. I remember that place, I bought some parts from them way back when. I believe I also GAVE them a Crystal Turquoise '68 Tempest about 20 years ago because I had no title and no space for it and couldn't find a taker. Maybe karma will come back around.

Jarnigan had a really nice looking daughter that helped out at the Houston dealership in the 80s.It got sold a few years ago and became Ernie Guzman then merged when GM reshuffled and closed dealerships.

They wanted over sticker on the 78 TAs so I bought mine at Gay down the road. Had to remove the Gay emblem when I moved to the San Francisco area

I don't know how much that stuffed animal sold for. I didn't even know they existed, but I'm going to keep an eye out for one now! This old dealership stuff is pretty neat.

Forgot to post the awesome emblem I got from brian damian. Right back at home on the trunk lid, only this time I didn't use screws.

Real nice touch - the only thing I would do is cut the posts off some stainless screws and super glue them into the holes.
