The 4150 flange is a huge improvement. I tell everyone looking into these onboard ECU throttle body systems that they aren't meant for the guy looking for that last tenth at the drag strip. Their street carb replacements.

This new kit from Holley gets closer to that performance envelope. Basic street engines though are going to struggle with fueling, but as discussed in a previous thread specific to large in motors like 500+" and more radical setups, this is going to help produce power NA where as the current offerings basically need boost to get beyond about 700hp.

So cool the stuff that's coming out these days!

I'll give Holley credit, they did a great job making that system LOOK like a real Holley carburetor!

Also interesting, the self-tune showdown on Lateral-G:

https://lateral-g.net/self-tune-show...olley-vs-fast/

Granularity on the units that go beyond the 600hp mark, on under 600hp apps, is a concern, and I am interested. That window from 600 to 800 is also a concern/interest. That is the envelope that many are in on good street performance builds.

The EZ 2.0 are good for 1,000hp. I've used those on one car that put under 260 to the wheels, and another that may hit 330rwhp, and they work great.

Yeah, thought I read a post where you mentions some of that. I have 2 cars that use Holley ECUs, and was hoping to use a Holley on my next project, so I can keep it all the same. But if that's not going to work for me, then I will go to the FAST unit.

Comments here about the ECU are of interest.

The article states the Terminator Stealth unit within this thread uses a variation of the familiar HP-series ECU. From this I presume it works similar to the ECU unit I have installed with my Holley HP 4150 multi-port fuel injection kit (link for it attached for reference). When I called Holley Tech prior to the purchase they said it would be suitable used in conjunction with my 660 hp 505 engine. I can say that so far everything seems fine.

https://www.holley.com/products/fuel.../parts/550-500

I used the kit with a Victor intake modified for mounting the fuel rails and injector bungs. Also with the Holley Dual Sync Distributor and their injectors.

Yeah, multi-port you can target your range by injector and (dry) throttle body (cfm) selection, the prepackaged TBi bodies are not 'user' configurable, as in you can't change the injectors included with them, or select the CFM. With Holley, using their' TBi, can only select the one that rated to 600, or step up to the 800-1200 unit.

Not sure what the difference is between the 2 HP ECUs, but I kind of doubt there is any. They use the HP in the up to 600HP Terminator systems, which can be flashed/'upgrade' to the 'true' HP functionality.

On my 'bird, due to hood clearance concerns (I have short body bushings), I may be limited to the TBi type setups, because of the way the hood slopes. Which is where my interest comes from for systems in the 600-800HP range.

The EZ-2.0 TBi setups that are rated to 1200hp, obviously run larger injectors, and flow more CFM than the Holley units that are rated to 600hp. That's why low-speed granularity is a concern with those.

I have a few months, so have time to figure it out. But am trying to collect data along the way in prep.

I know you can 'overdrive' injectors with more psi, but I need to model my build to determine where I'm going to fall. I believe Holley may be just leaning towards the safe side in power level ratings, to avoid a wave of service calls and bad feedback.

It would be nice to share ICF files between my 3 cars, and use the same software, to simplify tuning across them all. Would limit the learning curve too.

Speaking of hiding EFI I remember a few years ago Hot Rod had an article on a Mopar they gutted some carbs to make as TB and put the injectors on the bottom side of the manifold.
