Default 71 HVAC hose routing

71 GTO 400 auto with factory AC

Vacuum hose running from carb Ts off to two hoses which pass through the firewall as shown in attached pic

My 72 only has one hose from carb which runs through the firewall.

I have a 72 service manual and the 72 setup appears correct but is the 71 correct? I dont have a 71 manual and the T in the hose looks aftermarket

Thanks

Checked my wife's '71 and no tee fitting or 2nd hose going through the firewall. The single hose enters the firewall through the large hole that some wiring also goes through. a second hose also goes through there going to the A/C vacuum diaphram on the A/C box. Nothing like what is shown in your picture.

My 71 LeMans Sport was a 2nd owner car when I bought it, 69k miles, 350 2bbl AC car, and my hoses went thru the large rubber grommet too.

Time to look see what's on the interior side of those hoses.
