I bought a bunch of pontiac stuff from a guy. I got and older pump with M-54D on it and another (looks newer) M-54D-S. I am just starting to reassemble my 428. Not sure which to use.

The ā€œsā€ means it comes with a pick screen, other wise they are the same pump.

There are no HV Pontiac pumps. Just standard (60lb) and RAIV/SD (80lb).

In addition to what Goatman said, if you want the high pressure pump, you need the "F" pump.

And if you want a high volume pump with adjustable pressure, you can get a Titan, or if you can wait, I understand that BOP will be producing one.

I guess the standard oilpump with 5/8" pickup tube is not considered as a HV pump.
The oilpumps with 3/4" pickup tube are HV compared to the standard oilpump.
M54DS(60psi) and M54F 80psi)uses the 3/4" pickup tube.

Same pump. I think the S just means it came with a screen.
