The TKO can and does shift like butter with the syncro modifications. Just as good as any other trans. I had the shift rail mechanism modified as well on mine which makes the 2-3 shift effortless. I don't know if that is already done on the new TKX or not. |

TKOs don't use gear 'oil', and if you use oil, it can cause shift quality issues.
Adjustment is critical. Blue = excess heat, from not fully engaging, or riding/slipping the clutch. Pretty sure American does minor changes to all TKO before they go out the door, with exception of the TKX. Base TKOs I do not believe have had the 'issue' addressed, but haven't looked in a while. It's technically not an 'issue' by Tremec's standards. .
