Heads up. Jim Mattisons Aegean Blue RA II 4 speed car will be a no reserve auction at 2023 Mecum Kissimmee auction. He sold it back in 2016 at BJ auction. It will be interesting to see if the audience even understands what this car is and what kind of bids it will bring.

At the 2017 MCACN, I saw the Aegean Blue '68 GTO that Mattison had at the time, RAII engine but a 12A/RAI car (sold at Tate Motors).
This was a fixed headlamp car.

The RAII Aegean Blue car going to Mecum/Kissimmee is a different car, yes?

The car that Jim Mattison sold at BJ in 2016 was a hidden headlight RA II, the same as the one offered at Kissimmee. Attached is a screen shot of the BJ auction result and the car being offered at Kissimmee. It has hidden headlights as well. I believe they are the same car as they are the same color and both optioned identically (no PS or PB). I think there is a discussion in this thread about the other Aegean Blue car at MCACN that did not have hidden headlights. Also the Mecum post says the car was originally sold at Seltzer Pontiac in Chicago. Same dealership where my RA II GTO was sold.

That's my dream car right there. Love that color. Until I'm in a spot to pick it up, I'll continue my home brew.

Yes, this is a different car than what was at Norwalk in 2017. The car that Jim had at Norwalk I believe he races. It has heater delete, radio delete, and a chrome nose painted body color. That car could not be a RA II since it was built too early 12A or first week of December 1967. This RA II that is going to Mecum I believe Jim briefly owned. It is car #9 on this Roll call and was restored by gto66yellow on this forum. Here are some pictures of Jim's race car at Norwalk.

Thanks for the clarity on that particular car.
gto66yellow did an incredible job discovering that car and bringing it back to glory.
I wasn't aware that JM had it next.
But do recall that Yellow sold it right after he completed it.
Very awesome car with all its original main components

After they went 4-wheeling, they could have at least cleaned the mud off for pictures!

I saw that and wondered if it was one of the cars on the list. Great color...Aegean Blue?

For a split second, when they announced that car for the auction, I thought I might be able to take a shot at it. Reality check! It was fun to daydream though.

Would love to know who is plunking down this kind of coin and their story.

The Roll Call list needs updating / refreshing .
Anyone here is more than welcome to have at it.
I haven't heard of any new cars popping up , but a good update might bring something out..
Along with the sale price of ol Blue.

I've been using a Tablet for a while since my laptop went sick.
No Way I can do an update / refresh with this device.
Its all I can do to tolerate making a post with it, one key plunk at a time.

Would Really Really like to see pictures of the Flambeau Burgundy - Parchment - White convertible
that was being restored by a member - if anyone has them.

Don't know if it got finished or not.
Or if it got sold along the way.
Any info would be great

That was the best convertible on our list by color combo - if I remember halfway right.
And was 4speed

Was told today that the RedBull car , and the 8-Ball (in the corner pocket) car have both changed hands
privately via private sales in the past.

Baron, Just to clarify, REDBULL is still in my Collection. Body has been Media Stripped, RH NOS quarter installed and in epoxy sealer. Frame is in color and 4;33 axle done all waiting to go together. Was tying things up and possibly getting it ready for presenting as a great Project for somebody. RED on RED RAII GTO Auto Trans.
8 Ball in the corner Pocket (68 Black/Black RAII 4 spd Firebird was completed and sold to a new owner (Rick Mahoney) it was about 95% complete and went to Scott Tiemanns to have the final few things done. Rick was anxious over the summer. It had a full photo shoot in the fall and will be presented in an upcoming issue of "Pontiac Perfection" magazine. The car is over the top with Red Stripe and Red Lines.
So 1 gone and 1 still in hand. Could only bear to let one RAII go at a time. Many other Round Port Cars in Queue.

Here are some pictures of it done at Norwalk in 2018. Apparently, John sold it and I saw it this year at MCACN in a blow-up bag as a display to sell them.

aahh okay . GREAT ! !
I took it as meaning both cars sold.
68 GTO's look really sharp with Red/Red combo.

Was the 8-Ball Deuce Bird the one that came out of Charlotte NC Zone Headquarters ?
One of the Deuce Birds did , was either a Black or Red car. I Forget now ..,
Mahoney has had 3 or 4 documented Deuce Birds. Heck maybe more
He's raced one or two Ram2 clones

Thanks for giving the better clarification.
