Default 73 Firebird trunk harness

I am attempting to rewire my trunk harness in a 73 Trans Am. Not sure what someone did with it when it was restored and not sure where the trunk harness runs along the left quarter panel and then along the tail light panel as well as what it looked like on the right quarter panel (? clips). Searched high and low for pictures but can't find any and nothing in the assembly manual.

Any one have any pictures? Thanks

Yes, it has clips that use the trunk opening edge to clip on to.

The intermediate harness runs in the rocker panel gutter, then plugs into the rear harness over the wheel well.

I believe in the support for the trunk lid hinge, there's a hole that the connector clips into to retain it. But it's been a while since I've dealt with this.

The dome light I believe plugs into that intermediate harness connector back there too and runs up behind the sail panel.

Default 73 trunk harness

Thanks! Does any one have a picture of where the rear harness runs from the intermediate harness to the left sided tail lights. I found a picture of the harness running across the taillight panel. Thanks for the picture of the clips, they were laying in the bottom of the trunk under the mat.

Ok, I remember better now, after I search for some pics. (attached)

From the connector where the rear harness plugs into, it runs down the inner wheel well, and into the gutter of the trunk drop off, then to the clip along the back of the trunk edge.

The driver's side bulb string drops down from the edge/clip to the outside of the car, and along the bottom of the tail light housing. There MIGHT be a couple clips that get captured by the stud/nuts of the tail light housing, a little foggy on that.

The rest of harness runs along the edge to the outside of the passenger tail light housing, drops down, and runs along the bottom of the passenger tail light housing.

The trunk mat covers the harness where it drops into the trunk drop off.

If you post in the 70-73 section, you will be flooded with a ton of specific info, to include build details from each assembly plant. Strongly suggest you post there.

If you look at that first pic, by the trunk hinge brace, you can see the end of rear harness, and see part of the connector for the intermediate harness.

EDIT: The rear harness slips through that hole in the trunk hinge brace, toward the inside of the trunk. The dome light harness, as well as the trunk light harness plug in there.
