Default Getting closer

Next stop is the vinyl top this week. It was nice to drive it after idle since last summer.

Very nice! Are you going to do the top yourself? If so I'll be watching ... have to do the same in a couple of months. I've already got the Legendary top and the glue.

Thank you. No. I’m having an upholsterer do the vinyl. It’s going in tomorrow hopefully.

The top is on but I had to postpone the rear a few days because I didn’t have the clips.

The bumper and valance are painted now and ready to install.

So a guy came out to your place and did the top? Are you going to glue down the last bit by the rear trim and quarters?

I'm curious about a few things .. when he did the drip rails does the vinyl go in the groove and then back up the other side so the trim clips OVER the vinyl?

I wonder if the drip rail trim for non-vinyl top car was different because it doesn't have to go over the vinyl ?

Looks great so far!

I believe there is a difference in the trim to accommodate the added roof vinyl material. When I ordered trim for my last A body (Buick) I’m almost positive I had to specifically search for non-vinyl drip rail trim.

OK ... yeah he wrapped it all the way up that outer edge, nice work ... how the heck did it cut if off so nice ... just run a razor blade along the top of the drip edge?
