Default Any CS-130 9 oclocks?

So looking at swapping on a CS130 for the 78 and 81. Anyone know of a part number for a 9 oclock like the factory? Seen some 3 Oclock Chevy swaps.

There is also a pigtail to swap it easily also

Looking from the rear, plug at 3 oclock is standard chevy.
Problem is they only have 3 through bolts holding the case together.
So 7ish is about as close as you can get on the plug if you have to reclock it. That also puts the + post up and out as much as you can.

GM PT2145 is one of the adapter pig tails you can get for these. But not sure if it's for volt meter or idiot light.

I've got one here myself, with a factory pigtail, and got to research all over again on which regulator wires up how. We covered this good on here several years ago. So guess I need to do some searching.

Let me know what you come up with, please.

Here's a Delco CS130 mount tab and clocking chart, if that helps some?

Here's a quick and dirty explanation of the conversion wiring to ensure the dash light works:

Here's a thread on NastyZ28:

Has some application choices too.

So found one the clocking looks OK. Had to swap off a serpentine pulley. But the 3/8 bracket bolt is kind of loose in the alternators pivot hole. Seems like even "regular" old alternators over the years I remember seeing a thin shim/tube for that. Anyone got a source? I think bras tubing will have too much wall thickness.

Yeah, I remember when I was using CS130s the shim tubes aren't much help, still sloppy in there. Maybe cut a groove lengthwise in a 5/8 aluminum line and squeeze it in there? Maybe even drill it out a little so it fits? Just thinking out loud.

I used to just leave it, and crank on the bolt, it won't move, especially once it settles.

Alternator/starter rebuild shop should have some thin wall bushings.

But if it were me, I'ld wrap the bolt with shim stock till I got a close fit. If I didn't have any shim stock, I'ld be cutting up coke cans.

Just something to help keep it centered till you get the pivot bolt tight.
