This was Brentwood. I think they only the Danville c&c tied to special events now since it got crazy a few years ago. We went to one down there last month that was pretty good.

I snugged the pan bolts up, but it looks like it's coming from the vent tube and dripping down the side. Wondering if I just have it overfilled or if I should be thinking about a trans cooler with this TSP converter.

Great pic! If your stall is higher than stock you need a transcooler. Fluid level is critical for longevity

I acquired a 68 Chevelle in 1973. In it's 5-yr life, the sheet metal under the rear window had rusted through. Yours at least lasted a little longer!

It's supposed to be winter but it's not so I took a step toward road-worthy.

I had gone through all the suspension many years ago and left a lot un-done. I made a crude pass to get caster and camber somewhere north of nowhere. I found I'd left the nuts on the upper control arm shafts loose... a mind is a terrible thing to waste.

The greased pizza-pans idea off YouTube worked fine. No trouble turning the wheels by hand.

I painted these 14" rallys about 15 yrs ago and kept them in a box since. I decided to see if they would clear the disc brake brackets I swapped in later. If I get the car drive-able, I'll need tires so was happy to find the wheel cleared!

Then I drove the car around the block just because it will actually propel itself.... plus it's obnoxiously loud with only glass-packs.

A good Mike day.

The window channels are in really good shape considering. Good solid metal all around with no rust holes. I just cleaned them up and treated the surface rust.

My 1969 SS Chevelle were super clean no rust.
Bought in at the dealer I worked at in Kingman Arizona,
was a trade in 1987 Cali car.
Frt and rear windows needed just gaskets.
Super easy to do.

My 68 was a wet climate car. Was in Pensacola. I think the rear window channel held water and rusted through FAST.

No water, no rust! Living in this dry SW climate is a different world than places with 50% RH all the time. Add road or airborne salt and it's yet another level of aggression.

I do remember it was easy to pull the window and replace it. Butyl rope is what I recall...??

Well, it looks like the driving season is over here so I gave her bath, topped off the tank with stabilized fuel and put her away for winter.

Drove the Solstice to the body shop to get the deer hit damage repaired. I should have it back just in time to put it up for the winter.

The window is closing on car shows for the season so my son and I headed down to the Goodguys show. Ended up parking next to a '73 SD with a super cool owner whose had it since '79

Got a lot of nice complements on my car, though I kind of had a captive audience because it was by the corn dog stand.

Smooth drive home on the freeway with the windows down. Trans leak is still there, but it seems to have lightened up a bit so maybe it was just overfilled.

Kinda cool - we made the photo recap from the Goodguys show. They had ample opportunity to take a pic because I drove around forever looking for a good spot.

^^ Very sharp looking car. Have you gotten enough of the bugs worked out to get into the throttle yet?
