I have had good service with Ward's

http://www.wardsclassiccarradiorepair.com/

Did a great job on my '67 GTO AM-FM radio.
Even though he specializes in Mopar radios, he also does most Delco radios.

"Turn Switch" in Minnesota does excellent work. They can modernize the internals and keep the exterior factory correct looking. This is what and where I send all my radios. They also make correct speakers for our cars.

Smile 69 AMFM Radio

Great news, found local tech who bench tested my radio and it works perfectly!! However I need a replacement bulb W216 for the dial..
Also want to update the dash speaker. It must be 8 to 10 ohm. Parts Place has one that I am looking at. Any suggestions?
Thanks, Frank69

Do you have a picture of what this bulb looks like? I am looking to find one for you but the W216 number is not providing any results. I need a picture of the bulb/lamp.

Thanks so much for your efforts. I found a replacement at Pep Boys that is 12 volt Phillips Brand, No. 1891 looks same as the old one but silver rather than brass base, and I have tested it and installed it and I think it will work.
The W 216 so old it isn't in any books that I have found. Will test it several times before installing the radio. The AMFM radio has a stamp that says use only 8/10 ohm speaker. Looking at one at Parts Place that may work. Am changing speaker as the old one is probably tired! Thanks for your help and input. Have a Nice Holiday Season! Frank69

Would like to add, that I agree 100% with this posting. I have also sent two radio's to them. They were from my '62 SS and "64SS. They put in modern internals, made them am-fm available and I also have a jack to play my ipod. Great customer service and tech support if need be. I am very pleased with their work. In fact, I'm getting ready to send them the radio from my '71 GTO, Carmine.
