I just read where they are offering $3500 rebate on this car. If you guys have not driven one you should try it. For a new car it can not be beat for the $. Literally. I know it is not all dootied up on the outside, but it sure is fun to run other guys in a sleeper like this!

Let the critics loose!

The 3500 rebate has been out since I bought my car in Sept. Our local dealers have that plus 3K off, a long way from the 5K LOA and EBAY crap of day one. Wonder where we would be if the dealers had gone straight up on this one in the beginning...

Well, they'd probably not be crying the blues so bad & more people would be having fun driving these cars .

My close friend has one, & I personally think it is the most underrated car I have ever driven. For the $ you can not get a better top-end or more fun (new). They are also quality construction & have been around "down under" for a good while.

'04 is gonna be a valuable collector as many hard-to-sell models end up this way.

Yeah, my local dealer has at least 15 sitting on his lot he cant get rid of. If anybody is in MO its the Suntrup dealer in St. Peters.

Its the dealerships that are killing GM. There is no excuse for the F-bodies demise if it were'nt for the dealer mark up from GM's MSRP. They were faster and better looking then anything on the market then or now but you could'nt touch a R/A WS6 for less then 37k locally. T/A's were about 30k. How can you expect to compete in any market place when you're screwing your customers like that? Ugly slow ass mustangs were outselling the F-bodies(Camaro's and Firebirds together) 2 to 1!...ahh, I feel better now

I agree 100%........ I traded an '01 Formula for my '04 GTO and there is night and day difference between the 2. I LOVED the Formula, but the ride, handling, comfort etc of the gto is so far ahead of the F body that I can't believe I drove the Formula for 4 years. Whe I bought the Formual, a WS-6 TA would have cost me north of $30k. I paid a little more than $29k, minus $3500 for my GTO. A ton of car for the money.

It's definitely not an in your face kind of styling, but I can appreciate the car as a package, and not just the looks.

Tripower-

Very nice site. About as much time into that as in your 455 from the looks of it. Incredibly helpful & detailed info. Thanks for sharing.

They have a Procharger for those '04 LS1s yet ?

Thanks for the compliment! I really tried to make my site as useful as possible for other enthusiasts, and most of it I am learning as I go! I really need to do a major update, but until recently, not much has been happening with the '66, but it is now painted red, and the guys at the shop were masking and getting ready to paint the interior today.

BlkBird - we're up in your area quite often, I almost stopped at Suntrup last weekend to check out their inventory. What are they wanting for the manual ones?
