66 gto rear seat
helping a friend put together a 66 gtohardtop. no rear seat ! is a sedan seat same size? what years interchange 64-67? what other gm car fit chebby, buick or olds.? sorry for all the questions .Thanks in advance!!

The rear seat from a 4 door will not work. It's just too different. You can use a rear seat from another 2 door 64-67 A-body, such as a Chevelle, Skylark, Cutlass, etc. Hardtop of course. The convertible seat is more narrow.

However, a seat from a 2-door "sedan" (i.e., post car) will also work.

66 Vs 67
Just an FYI
The retaining wire/spring on the bases differ between '66 & '67 and will not lock in securely if you mix and match, unless you go through the trouble of removing and re-installing the the floor retaining bracket or if your not concerned with having the seat bottom locked in/down. 1st 2 pic 1966. 2nd are 1967.
