i put new liners in my 3- 53 many years ago but...

i put new liners in my 3- 53 many years ago but they pretty much slid in by hand . i believe there were new o rings for the bottom of the block. i'm not sure where my service manual is .

you really only need the pressure side adapted....

you really only need the pressure side adapted. the return hose is just clamped on so just use the return end from the gc on the steering box.
