Default Another GTO In the Family

Well, my son and I have found his GTO. A sweet Impluse Blue Metallic six speed with black interior. Made the deal today, now waiting on the shipper to bring her home! My son won't be sleeping for the next several nights!

Here is a link to the ad. More pics when she gets here.

I think he plans to do a cold air intake, long tube headers, high flow cats and a Corsa cat-back exhaust. Maybe a cam somewhere down the road. He wanted either a Brazen Orange or this Impulse Blue. The blue was his first choice but he kept finding them with the bright blue interior and was looking for black guts. When this one showed up, we jumped on it. I had an LSX specialty shop in DFW do the pre-purchase inspection and it checked out good. Wired the money this morning so now we wait! He is almost as excited as old Dad!

Looks like they've already took it down from their website.

Anyway, you know I'm partial to the earlier cars, but this one sounds very nice! Tell him I said Congrats! I hope to see it soon.

The best color!

Nice ride. With some LTs, catback, and a cam that car will really move.

I think that was just used car salesman hype. Other than it being the last year the GTO was offered, I am not sure. I haven't checked the production numbers yet, but I know they are posted on the LS1GTO forum.

Jerry, I will upload some photos to my photobucket album and get them posted. I can't wait to get this thing and drive it. My son is beside himself with anticipation!

Congrats on the new car. I bought a 2005 GTO a few months ago. Six speed trans with 18's, bone stock with only 10K miles on it. I love it, although the sound system could be better.

Oh man that's nice. I do like the blue interior on these cars, but the black is just as nice!

Where'd the GTO FRC's go? Did they have to go for the strut tower brace?

The previous owner removed them because they were known to chaff the rubber fuel line and could lead to engine bay fires. We plan to replace the fuel line with a braided stainless steel line and reinstall the FRCs.
