Checked that looks like stock mount couldn’t go any lower because of linkage.

A little can make a lot of difference, the one poly trans mount I had moved the front down an inch or more.
Just figured I'd throw it out there, so you're not overlooking a potential cause. .

I had the same issue with my 66, I was told the frame was probably tweaked, I didn't buy that idea. It turns my new motor mounts were setting the engine too low in the cradle, I found some REALLY old NORS stock mounts, they fixed the problem! I see AMES now sells stock mounts that are supposed to be dead on to the originals, I'd try those before I bought their 1/4 spacers.

I actually made a couple of spacers that worked but ended up changing the mounts gd to go. The mounts were the problem.
