I don’t mean the exhaust so much as riding in a 550hp tin can with very little interior

I may be mistaken, but children of the age to still need a booster seat should never be in the front seat of a vehicle ?

I think that you will find that the rear seat belt attach points are closer than the fronts and you won't need as much length. I'm fairly porky at 240, and still had another 12" of belt length adjustment left while sitting in the rear seat. Have 60" in front, (bucket seats), and no problem. Bench might change things however.

I’m 238 and my seatbelt is at its max in adjustment in the front. Must be the bench. I can see it being much simpler with buckets

Well all good things come to an end and I think I just came to the end of my motor today. Dropped both pushrods on the number 1 cylinder, as in BOOM vanished.

Ooof, that is unfortunate. I'm sure you'll be getting in touch with your engine builder.

Hopefully they are in the valley.

Were the rocker nuts loose?

You’re right I called the cylinder number bad. Machinist is gonna fix it for parts cost. Will take it out when I can get help and take it down there. He is busy though so it will give me time for aesthetics
